It seems like these men don't ever recover.

Is getting divorced while having little kids the worse thing that can happen to a man

No, because any decent looking man will be able to score younger poon within 6 months of his divorce if he has even an ounce of confidence. It would be worse for the kids, who will likely grow up with developmental or behavior problems due to the psychological trauma of the separation (speaking from experience).

I don't know about that. A very close friend of mine just lost his battle to stomach cancer (barely made 3 yrs) the week before Christmas. He was only 44. Left a wife, (together a little over 20 yrs, married for 15) and a 13 yr old daughter.
They are completely lost and devastated. I can't even imagine ever having to go through anything so heart breaking...National Level Competitor (Female BB)

Obviously I'm generalizing, but of the 3 young married family men I've known who died, all were replaced within 3 months despite their wives being "devastated." I'd be shocked if this guy's wife wasn't already interviewing 2 or 3 new orbiters on the down low. That's life, son.
I don't really consider it a character flaw srs. It's part of female DNA that goes all the way back to the days men were crushing each other's skulls in with rocks. The women who survived were the ones who disregarded the last guy and quickly moved on to a new one. Loyalty is primarily a male trait, not a female one.

Yeah, no.
Add that to the normal stress of raising kids then have to be an award winning actress around those kids 24/7? Doubt it.
That's awful. So sorry for them.
I didn't have nearly the trauma you did and I didn't even think about dating for an entire year after separation.~ In a world where you can be anything, be kind ~
