Vikings broke my heart a couple times when I was a kid so stuff like this doesn't phase me as much. I always expect the worse but hope for the best and this seems more realistic then last weeks miracle win.

40+ yard passing plays given up in the first 17 games: 5
40+ yard passing plays given up vs. eagles: 3
2 of those plays happened in the first 2 weeks of the season, so the vikings D gave up as many 40+ yard passing plays last night as they did in the last 15 games combined.
and they also had a 36 yard pass against. 11 35+ yard passing plays against and 14 30+ yard passing plays in the first 17 games.

im still not convinced this was not on case, the defense could not get off the field and the O line could not protect sht, regardless case was still making some nice throws but in the end it didnt matter the defense could not stop them.
quick recap of the defensive scheme of last night
not salty just kind of sad, but great season none the less were always known to beat ourselves rather then opponents beating us
im not a photoshop expert just making small humor in our defeat lol

I think case and Bradford will be gone, I have a feeling they're going to keep Bridgewater and see what he can do next season, I for one would rather pay and get cousins but he's too expensive, I don't see us getting back to the championship game with teddy

Why not? I want to see what he can do with an actual OL. No reason to believe that Teddy couldn't play at or above the level Case did in the playoffs, which was pretty bad.
I could see them making a run at Cousins. He has already come out and said that he's been tagged twice and is "pretty good" financially and that winning is his number 1 priority.

i think it would be crazy to go with anyone other than keenum. the best dynamic the offense had was keenum's connection to those 2 receivers. can bridgewater replicate those intermediate and down field plays to those 2 on a regular basis? i don't think so.
bridgewater is such a massive risk + he really didn't show much of anything when he did play. he was more or less a glorified game manager.

Thanks brah, been reading a lot of positive feedback about DeFlip across the web.
So now that you guys got that ring finally, can we ease off the whole "we're philly fans so we're going to be obnoxious as possible" thing? I like telling 100 year old grannies to **** off as much as the next guy but damn..
Keenum chits the bed in the playoffs and you think it would be crazy to go with anyone besides him? I mean, I won't be mad if they resign him but he's not my first choice
Did everybody forget how bad the OL was before the massive overhaul this past offseason? And that the last time we saw Teddy was in an outdated Norv Turner offense, force-feeding AP?
I'm excited to see how our QB situation unfolds.Last edited by JmanTheJuiceman; 02-16-2018 at 09:40 AM.

It was just a year ago Bradford was getting murdered every drop back. Teddy has a worse line than that as he had to scramble 1.5 seconds into dropping back. I'm excited to see how it all works out. I'd be happy with Cousins. I'd be happy with Teddy. I'll be okay with Keenum. Bradford is the only one I don't really want because he is a knee injury away from retirement.
Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

outside of the perpetual negativity that goes along with being a vikings fan, i'd be pumped for next season. cousins is easily the best QB they've had since favre, except this time he'll actually be able to stick around for a while without the fear that he'll all of a sudden lose the ability to play football. cousin's receiving core was mediocre as fuk in washington, and he's now going to a team with one of the best receiving cores. there's also a chance that he'll be able to get something out of treadwell, who knows. that contract may cost them in future years when other guys' deals are up, but for this year, it gives them a great chance to win.
cousins isn't going to help the defense from imploding like it did in the playoffs last year, but the hope is that that was just a fluke. eagles are only looking better this year, so it's going to be tough to say the least.
still think the oline is the weak spot of the team, even if they made some strides last year.
