With eggs/dietary cholesterol there is no such high quality direct evidence.

The colon cancer thing...has a relative risk of 1-2% increase. This can be taken as 0% in the eyes of real research and shouldn't be looked into any further as far as prevention. There are way to many other things that need to be addressed before we point the finger at a healthy food source causing people cancer. This is skewed in the eyes of the public, usually thanks to media and randomly saying it in a thread. We need to be more careful how we spread "facts". Nutritional research is HIGHLY flawed in countless studies. Then when we have great studies, we need to know how to interpret them. Then once we can do that, we need to have the skill to put it into words to explain to others than don't ever read research....its like playing telephone in kindergarden

I agree that eggs are very nutritious and versatile, but I can't say the same as you regarding them being "delicious in any form".

The only downside to eggs for me is that, although they don't have a very distinctive flavor, they have a smell that can make them cloying.

I actually love that they're not overly flavorful. Eggs are arguably the best vehicle for ketchup and/or hot sauce there is...& I fuking love my hot sauce & ketchup. The smell doesn't bother me, either. That is, unless we talk about the noxious gas I have after too many eggs. I can only have eggs or egg whites so many days in a row before I'm dealing with horrible bloating & room-clearing gas.

I mean, imagine a nice latte and a scone would be better flavor wise

A long time ago Egg Fuel was relatively popular. I'm assuming it's become obsolete and isn't around anymore though.

    I love eggs

Whole eggs only, only dorks eat egg whites…..seriously

    https://www.t-nation.com/training/mo...iquin-top-tips

Many times I’ve had a dozen or more a day, never an issue. Did it about 4-5 months ago and I’m 46. Blood lipids are fine BUT as Strawng mentioned you should know your genetics if you have any concerns.

I’ll eat them boiled, poached scrambled or raw it doesn’t matter.

An appetizer at the local sushi spot is tuna tartar (which is raw) with a raw quail egg on top. I do it at as often as I can.

And if you really REALLY want to crank up the anabolism, you need to try Vince Gironda’s Hormone Precursor Shake!!!

Lol they are probably better for gains. Egg yolks are shown to increase strength gains compared to whites alone in a large number of studies: https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...1220122054.htm

I believe cholesterol like the kind found in eggs has some relation to muscle gain even outside of things like testosterone. What’s more, many people who are predisposed to carry larger amounts of muscle are statistically more likely to have issues with their cholesterol levels. This is separate even of drug use.

Das it mane, dat dere egg tech

But now that mrpb is gone, nobody will come here and tell us the details of the diet protocols and what the study participants looked like to throw doubt on the claim

My personal fav egg things are custards and quiche. But daily I almost always have hard boiled. Some different ways I like eggs are in sushi! I love tamago. Then a dish from China I’ve had in the states too of eggs, tomatoes, sesame oil, sugar and soy. Then potato, pea and egg salad (this is not like egg salad with Mayo)

And if you really REALLY want to crank up the anabolism, you need to try Vince Gironda’s Hormone Precursor Shake!!!
maybe just because I am a women but I do use just egg whites frequently/ make eggs like 2 whole eggs with 2 egg whites -.- my ldl is crazy low and hdl is normal so never have really worried about cholesterol

Source for that number? I would agree if that’s the case but when I googled it I found effect sizes that were much larger...

In general I agree it’s hard to trust epidemiological findings that are just based on observational data.

I never worry about it either.

I’d eat a cholesterol pie if they made one.

    I take a similar approach

I like whole eggs and everything but if I have more than 3 yolks it's just too much savory for me.

For a long time I would have 3 whole eggs + 3 egg whites along with homemade sweet potato fries for dinner... it was awesome.

Basically I just plopped the eggs on top of the fries, added in some peppers/veggies, and dipped it all in hot sauce =o)

I could definitely get down on eggs, veggies and sweet potatoes actually sounds like the perfect making for a breakfast burrito with the hot sauce. Maybe just some salsa or avocado too.
