    arimidex for gyno??

i went for my physical today and last yr i was diagnosed with low T so ive been on TRT shots.

he noticed that i was getting gyno and developing lumps and had my estrogen lvls checked today and told me he would put me on arimidex.

anyone familiar with this and if it will really work? gynos no too bad right now, but its deffinatly noticeable.

Arimidex will decrease estrogen levels, but if u have gyno it WILL NOT reverse gyno no matter what. I've tried Arimidex and Nolva, neither will reverse gyno, they will just prevent gyno from occuring if you already DONT have it. Once you have gyno the only thing that may reverse it is Letrozole, if that doesn't work surgery is ur only option.

Honestly, my gyno is as a result of AAS use, so urs may be different, but it was still induced as a result of excess estrogen production at one point. I took Adex at 0.5 EOD for a couple of weeks no results. I then stacked Adex with Nolva and nothing has really changed for me. I've dropped my BF from 15% to about 11% and it looks somewhat better now, I don't wanna get ur hopes down and say the Adex will do nothing. It MAY reduce it to a small degree, but don't expect a significant change.

Anyways, best of luck, I know how annoying it can be to have gyno even in a mild form. Who knows though, if ur gyno wasn't casued by AAS use it may go away by itself when u hit ur early 20's.

Honestly I'm not sure, because I've been cutting for the past month. If it is really bothering u, just get surgery. I know people who have done it and completely recovered within 2 weeks (by recovered I mean they were directly hitting chest again at the gym). I'm pretty sure ur insurance will pay for it to since its due to ur natural hormone levels. Especially if u start saying it hurts, gets itchy, etc. But yea just keep surgery in mind as a last resort, try lowering BF and the adex for a month or so first.

mine is ph induced and letro reduced it to a size almost undetectable.... but it never went away, surgery is the only option for completely getting rid of it.

so it depends on your comfort level.

adex won't help reverse gyno, it can just help prevent it, but not reduce it..

nolva/letro is your best bet..i would suggest nolva/raloxifene due to nearly no complications and side effects

it will mostly stop your gyno from getting worse as its a pretty strong AI. it won't reverse it

side effects will be achy joints, potential of getting sick (immune system goes down with the reduction of estrogen), and potentially some BF reduction...

letro is the king daddy when it comes to AI, very strong, it will crush your estrogen to the point where its almost undetectable in your system. with that though comes a price.

your joints will become extremely dry (almost to the point where you could severly injure them so watch your back and knees carefully)

you will more than likely get sick (estrogen and your immunity are very closely tied together)

your heart could potential be affected (that could be bro science)

your libido will die, and won't come back until your letro cycle is over
    ...till we meet again

I agree with this. It should at least get it to subside a decent amount, but you dont cure gyno. Letro would probably yeild better results, but I wouldn't use letro unless I really had to.

Letro WILL yield better results, much faster at that. I used Nolva for mine, and after my PCT you wouldn't even be able to tell I ever had it

Hey guys, I'm pretty new here but read a lot about AIs. What is "PCT"?

I just recently lost my insurance and want to try arimidex for gyno and this belly fat that would not go away. I'm 25, 155 lbs but very skinny. My waist is 35" at 5'10" so that 5 lbs is probably the belly and mild gyno.

If I decide to go on Arimidex, which blood tests should I check regularly?

    Liver enzymes?
Kidney profile: eGFR, serum creatinine, etc?

For hormones, which ones should I get that are specific? I only know "Free Testosterone"
What are the *specific* / accurate blood tests for Estradiol, misc estrogen, and progesterone?

    Thanks.

In the mean time, I wanted to try Calcium D-Glucarate because I've been reading good reviews about it. I tried DIM briefly but stopped when I got very bad migraines and excessive hair shedding.

Wroooooong. Nolvadex DOES work for reducing gyno. Arimidex doesn't. Letrozole and arimidex are both aromatase inhibitors, only difference is letro reduces estrogen much more.

Nolva is a SERM, it chokes out estrogen from breast tissue and will reduce gyno lumps. Take a 10 sec search on pubmed to find plenty of case studies

nolva/letro is your best bet..i would suggest nolva/raloxifene due to nearly no complications and side effects
ADex can help reverse gyno IF it's at the very beginning stages for some people. Once the gyno has had a chance to "mature" and set it typically surgery is the only thing that will work. An AI will prevent you from getting gyno or your gyno from getting wrose.

Empirical evidance seems to point to a SERM such as Clomid or Nolva at being better at reducing existing gyno as it blocks estrogen from binding to the receptors in breast tissue which is what causes gyno in the first place. That being said, if you've had your gyno for awhile then most likely the only real fix is going to be surgery to remove it.
