I also wanted Alex Smith because he played with Nagy in Kansas City and I think he’s a solid QB that won’t take up to much cap space butt
Looks like he had 17 surgeries. RIP career

Within the first 3 minutes of the above video, the guy talks about Trubisky changing the play at the LOS. Who remembers the idiot freaking out and saying Trushitsky never changes the play and was asking for a source? Just lmao
Video also talks about Trushitsky not seeing wide open WRs and just making bad plays. Go figure.Last edited by Lunatic; 11-13-2019 at 05:40 PM.

Welp, this suck season is all but over now. There need to be a lot of changes in the offseason, imo.
If Ryan Pace is back (which he probably will be), he needs to stop giving up draft capital for guys who don’t turn out to be elite difference makers.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Chicago FO is trying to say that Trubisky has a hip injury now. Y'all are screwed whether he starts or not. The team would be so much better with a different, competent QB. Give up every draft pick in this coming draft to get a better spot for a QB since he screwed that up so ridiculously.

Well, the good news for the Bears is that it’s apparently a deep QB draft class. From what I have read the following could all be first round picks next year:
Tua
Burrow
Herbert
Fromm
Eason
Maybe one of them slips to the late first or second. The problem is Pace is a poor QB evaluator. He thought Mike Glennon was a starting caliber QB and thought Trubisky was the can’t miss QB prospect in that draft. So I don’t have faith in his ability to pick one and hope they don’t let him bet the farm on another QB.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. What a pathetic organization.
Mitch says he hurts his hip end of the 2nd quarter and he was evaluated at half. Nagy says he didn't learn about his hip until a couple series before he was pulled. What a load of BS that is. Your QB is evaluated for a hip injury at half and you don't know about it?Bears/Bulls/Blackhawks

That's bad but could be worse, you could be the Redskins.
What do you guys think about Nagy at this point? I don't follow the Bears that closely to know the details and insider stuff you hear as fans of the team but from the outside looking in he's looking real arrogant/stupid after a terrific rookie season as HC.

He is arrogant. He's stubborn. He's all of the above. His antics as a play caller get worse every game. Hence last night. Apparently his QB is dealing with a hip injury which limits his mobility. So on 3rd and 1 they run an option to the short side of the field. Makes tons of sense. Get your QB moving where he has the option to take off and run when he apparently has a hip injury. The hip injury stuff is complete BS. It's an excuse to bench Mitch.

Fromm is one of those guys who just makes plays. He has beating out 2 5 star can't miss prospects for the starting job at Georgia in Eason and Fields. He might not look the best the shorts and 7 on 7 drills but that chit doesn't mean everything. Just look at workout heroes like Jeremiah Johnson and Felipe Franks

His passing plays are really smart and well designed, his run plays are idiotic and he needs someone else to design and possibly call run plays, imo.
But I also think it’s hard to judge because of how poor a job the GM has done. They had an extensive kicking competition and come up with another 70% kicker. He missed what would have been a game winner against SD at home and two last night.
Their main pass catching TE had surgery in the offseason and didn’t practice in the offseason, his previous 2nd round draft pick from a DII school has never done anything, so the GM doesn’t bring in any TEs for insurance. Perhaps, because the last free agent TE he signed was Dion Sims.
The WR the Bears traded up for two years ago doesn’t appear to scare anyone and I don’t think is worth the extra draft pick it cost to get him.
The only offensive line depth they added was an undrafted rookie coming back from an injury. Kyle Long got banged up and was a shell of his former self. Pace pick James Daniels struggled calling protection and run blocking so moved to guard, Whitehair struggles with shotgun snaps but is a veteran but calls the right protections.
Everything done with the roster appears to have done with the belief that everyone would be healthy and good and that seldom happens for teams in the NFL.
And that doesn’t even address how stupid it turned out to be to trade up for Mitch. The coach you hired didn’t believe in him during the draft process! So stupid.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis
