I received 2 sample packets of Intrabolic Citrus Ice from AEN and decided to use them on my favorite day (chest) and the day that usually gives me the most DOMS (legs). Samples were mixed in 24 oz cold water with a few ice cubes throw in.
Taste: 9/10
Not as tasty as Xtend or the Purple Wraath Lemonade, IMO, but still very tolerable. The best thing I could compare it to is watered down orange juice. It was a nice change of pace from the same Purple Wraath flavor I've had for so long.
Mixibility: 9.5/10
It took some pretty vigorous shaking to get everything off the bottom of the shaker but once it was all mixed, it stayed that way. Nothing settled at the bottom which is a problem I always seem to have with Purple Wraath
Ingredient Profile: 10/10
An all in one package of amino acids, beta alanine, and the addition of 7g hydrolyzed whey protein really pushed it over the top. I also love how they tell you exactly how much Leucine and Beta Alanine are in each serving. Excellent formula
Effectiveness: 9/10
It's hard to determine after only 2 workouts but I didn't have and DOMS after my chest day and my DOMS after leg day seemed slightly better than usual, although nothing drastic.
Overall: 9.5/10
I was very happy that I was able to sample this product as it has a good taste, great profile, mixes well and I plan on purchasing a full tub once my Purple Wraath runs out to see what it can really do.
