Man, I really don’t know how I feel about the X-men at this point. I have complete faith in a Feige but I really don’t want them to completely take over the MCU. Imo, there should be no solo films for X-men characters. It should just be a team film every 2-3 years with a relatively small team like the animated series guys. That said, I’d actually prefer if the X-men were in their own separate universe. I don’t think the MCU needs them.
Fantastic Four on the other hand, is the last piece the MCU really needs imo. Galactus and Kang could both be multi-phase villains. Doctor Doom could be a phase. Annihilus would be a great villain for the Guardians/Nova. I would kill to see Richard Rider rip Annihilus’ guts out through his mouth like the comics.
Deadpool is interesting too. I really don’t see Disney allowing R-rated movies in the MCU proper. He will probably stay in his own little corner.Last edited by ohiostate124; 12-05-2017 at 01:14 PM.

Tom King may be very divisive but I’m enjoying the fallout from the Catwoman engagement.
Today’s issue is Superman’s reaction and Bruce and Clark being very awkward about it.
It has a bunch of callbacks to other writers who would have the alternating panels of Batman and Superman where it’s exactly the same except for their perspectives.

this issue was fun. it reminded me of why i like reading comic books. batman and superman are literally fighting crime in some instances while being reasoned with by their significant others regarding their 'bromance' with each other. it was far better an issue than i expected and im glad i picked it up

Keep in mind, while Marvel was pursuing their sharing deal with Sony on Spiderman, they were trying to do the same thing with Fox specifically for........Galactus and Silver Surfer. Apparently after Thanos they wanted to jump right back to another cosmic villain.
Anyways, Marvel knows what they're doing - and they know how to play the long game. It's no mistake that after Secret Wars, Dr. Doom came back looking like Vincent Cassell. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney already has him under retainer in case this deal goes through.

Disney officially buys fox. Marvel has all the rights now to Fantastic 4 and the villains.

How the fuk did all of this happen so fast? I never thought Spider-Man would come home either. Now Disney has them all. When it rains it pours I guess.
We could now do the full Illuminati. I’m gonna be so pissed if Blackbolt doesn’t show up because of that **** show.Last edited by ohiostate124; 12-14-2017 at 09:25 AM.

Is this day real life?
Peppering my ass for Galactus and Dr. Doom.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk yea
Iger also said that there is a place for R-rated Marvel movies within Disney. *grinning intensifies* Whether that just means they will keep Deadpool rated R or actually start making more R-rated Marvel movies is yet to be seen, but I can be optimistic.
The next phase when announced after Avengers 4 in 2018 is going to blow minds. Not part of any crews crew

Never read a comic book, but the movies have intrigued me. Any suggestion on how to start or does it really matter? I know they have multiple arcs and whatnot. I recently ordered a random 25 pack of DC/marvel/etc from Amazon hoping I like them.

I would avoid any Marvel stuff post 2015 when the SJW trash hit.
Books I would recommend that don't need a prior reading history. God of Thunder, Old Man Logan (the original series), Uncanny Xforce, Astonishing Xmen, SpiderVerse, and old 90s Xmen comics.
But yea. I tend to spend time on wiki reading about characters that I don't know about. Watching Flash has me googling characters and spending hours going down a spider web of information."Don't be envious when the grass is greener on the other side because you don't know how much crap it took to fertilize that ground.
Are you ready? "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. (John 8:24).

You could try Marvel Unlimited as well which has lots of Marvel back issues digitally.
Honestly I barely read Marvel, so I couldn't help you that much. I read DC and even with DC there's a bunch of stuff I don't know. That's the problem with 70+ years of continuity. At least with DC you can buy their trades for cheap, I find Marvel trade paper backs absurdly overpriced. Marvel I only ever read Brubaker's Cap. run, WWHulk, Infinity Gauntlet, Whedon's X-Men run, House of M and Thor. The movies are what really got me into Marvel because I like the movies, which is why DC fuking up the DCEU pisses me off so much, because I like DC Comics much much more. Not part of any crews crew

I haven't read it myself (I plan to when I get some money), but I've heard Ultimate Spider-Man is a good place to start as its brand new continuity so you aren't bogged down with 40+ years of history or with newer Marvel, a reboot every 4 days.
Punisher MAX by Garth Ennis is a good place to start with Punisher, I've read the first 2 trades and they are good. Couldn't help you on Avengers because I tried Ultimates and didn't like it at all, don't know other Avenger runs.
Justice League I'd recommend Grant Morrison's JLA run, I am on the first volume myself and it is really good. For New 52, Forever Evil + JL Vol. 6-8 is really solid. Didn't hear great things about the first 5 volumes so I avoided buying them, though I know what happens in them. Rebirth Justice League is trash so avoid it.
Batman I could go on and on, but all of New 52 Batman by Snyder is good, then the classics (just google best Batman stories and the same 10-20 will pop up).Not part of any crews crew
