Where can I find vegetarian bacon?

I'm considering trying a different religion just for this weekend. The consumption of pork is prohibited, but I like bacon. Are there any sources of non-pork bacon besides turkey? I would be willing to try ostrich or emu bacon, but can't find any.

What's wrong with Turkey bacon? It's halal and you hunt turkeys anyway IIRC.

Towards the end of that first lecture, he recommends several vegan meats. He says that just like real meat, some taste better than others, but that since he wants to convert everyone, he is recommending only the best. I take that as a reliable review.


Near around minute 42 is a good place to start. One of the brands is Smart Bacon, but there are others.

In Seattle, I ate fake chicken that was so convincing I worried they had given us real checken. But I could tell the bones were fake, and it was less greasy.

I went to a fancy vegan restaurant that served coconut bacon. It was actually pretty good. And it was crispy. I would actually choose it over soggy bacon from places that lack the skill to make bacon correctly. It was kind of an expensive restaurant though, so I probably shouldn’t mention it to you.

I've given up eating dog food ever since I woke up in the ICU of a hospital. I'd keep a ziplock bag of 32% protein dry dog food with me throughout the day and munch on the dry nuggets. I'd probably get an extra 50-75 grams of protein a day with this method. You are probably thinking I got food poisoning or some other issue with the dog food that put me in the hospital. Actually I was hit by a car sitting in the street licking my balls.

I checked out the thread because the title asked about vegetarian bacon. Ostriches and Emus are animals, you know? Anyways, it's the smoked hickory tast that people associated with the taste of bacon. Google 'vegetarian bacon' on YouTube.
