    Getting well along in my second large tub of Purple Wraath and I decided it was time for a review.

    I remember back to my first experience, free sample from bb.com. I mixed it up and drank it down all before lifting =P Kind of defeated the purpose... Later through research I better realize what the product really was. So I got a tub of the grape. I remember not enjoying it to much at first, but it quickly grew on me to the point where I actually craved when I was not lifting. Then one day I decided to add ice, bad idea. Now I drink the PW way to fast. Ok, it was a good idea...Purple Wraath was one of the piece of product I used during some of my best gains so it quickly became a staple after that. I saw that they were making a lemonade flavor so I picked that up as soon as it was available, by then I was a "Cl fan boy" =P. Enjoyed it a lot even from the first taste.

    There was a time near the last 1/4th of the grape tub I dropped all supplements except for whey, creatine, EFA, and multi to get back to the basics for a little over 2 weeks. That is when I realized how much PW was really helping. Those were some short lifting days....

    Price It seems like it is up there but if you break it down it is not bad at all. Obviously it would be a value if it is from CL. If you are considering PW and lift at very high intensity, but the price seems to be an issue get a half tub to test.

    Taste Most people including I did not like it as much at first, now I love it. Need a little time to get used to it. Making it cold helps too.

    Mixing Pour slow and stir as you go, then stir hardcore, and let it sit a bit. Then stir some more and I'm good to go.

    Effectiveness I'm pretty sure that second paragraph constitutes the effectiveness I felt while using, or the lack of when not using.

    Thought about doing a price breakdown for myself and other like the OT thing I did, but I'm tired and that takes a little while so I'm going to watch tv...

    The price is the only sticking point with me right now.. I loved what it did for me in the gym(the sample) and am sure it would only get better but I have to get past the price sticking point.

    Go with a smaller one then, but the larger are a better value though

    Love it also! After about a week of use PW became an instant staple for me. It's actually one of few supps out there I find 100% worth the price.

    its best to start sipping on it on the way the gym and during your workout. What I do is fill up a shaker and keep adding water when it gets about half way done so it will last the whole workout.

    I plan on taking Universal Animal Pump a long with PW. Prob a stupid question, but will taking the 2 within an hour of each other diminish the effects? Oh, and thanks for the advice.

    I have been able to use it in every stack since I first started to use it. Intra workout is a commonly missed time for the beginner at lifting. It almost seems vital to me now. When you need an empty stomach for most pre workout products, then get into so some intense lifting, and finally cardio thats a long time for the body to be without macro nutrients. Luckily thats why I keep PW close.

    Yea I mix in some unflavored AAKG sometimes, can't even tell.

    I also double up on some BCAA's supply limited. However, I took a little break from lifting, was working on cardio only and went back and using PW I wasn't sore at all the next day.....I thought I would be for sure.

    The timing of eating and drinking PW or any supplement as of late has been wierd for me because I've been very hungry lately and don't want to workout starving, but can't workout full either.

    Trying to manage.

    Plus if you run or exercise you don't feel the tingles from the B-Alanine as much, if at all.

    Personally, the taste is good. I use about 14 oz water with almost a full scoop and it tastes great. It's best mixed early, then let it sit and get absorbed.

    Yeah, that's exactly what i do! I sip about 1/3 of it (2 scoops) while on the 10 min drive to the gym, then refill. I'll usually sip half of that while working out my first muscle (ex. Tri's) then refill one more time and just about gulp it down for the 2nd muscle (ex. Bi's).

    One suggestion however, bring a gallon jug of water with you. That way you can sip on the PW for the EAA's, and still get adequate hydration through water itself. Gives MADD pumps/endurance

    In my opinion, BCAA is best consumed intra-workout. However, it can have a benefit post-workout if you're unable to consume a protein shake right away. This shouldn't be a problem though, since a protein powder is more of a priority of a supplement as compared to a BCAA.

    Again, this is just my thoughts on it.
