Lots of people are saying lots of things.
To me it's clear it's not this miracle drug the idiot in chief was rambling about.
Generally it's a good idea not to get medical advice from trump. He's kind of an idiot. I, I mean...wash your hands and don't go to work if you're sick, sal goodman
Remember, this was less than 1 month ago
March 12
March 12: “It’s going to go away. ... The United States, because of what I did and what the administration did with China, we have 32 deaths at this point … when you look at the kind of numbers that you’re seeing coming out of other countries, it’s pretty amazing when you think of it.”
Feel free to just ignore everything he says about diseases and covid, like all the other politicians, he's a retard. So when he touts this drug as a miracle, you can safely assume just based on that, that it's not lol

I don't thinks anyone ever thought it was a miraculous drug that would cure all cases. If it's helping 20% of cases...even 10% of cases, it's better than nothing.
Seems like the doctors who are using it that I've seen talk about it are saying it's surely helping more people than it isn't. From what I've seen, the problem is too many doctors are giving it when people are too far gone. The earlier they start it, the better.

Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free," Dr. Anthony Cardillo told Eyewitness News in Los Angeles. "So clinically I am seeing a resolution."

There's never going to be a "fix all" solution.
Chemotherapy works on some people, doesn't work on others.
I think there's been enough doctors on the front lines who have come out and said "it's helping" to justify its use.Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. This. Maybe some are taking what Trump is saying as it's a cure to all patients. I never took it that way and lol if some are. But there's enough doctors saying it's working for me to think it's certainly not useless... And again, I believe the earlier on it's given, the more effective it will be considering how it works.

Not sure if this is fake news or not, but looks like they will start using ny parks to store bodies
Soon we'll start “temporary interment”. This likely will be done by using a NYC park for burials (yes you read that right). Trenches will be dug for 10 caskets in a line.
It will be done in a dignified, orderly--and temporary--manner. But it will be tough for NYers to take.

"He added that the drug should not be prescribed for those who are presenting only mild symptoms, as there are concerns about shortages for patients with other conditions who need to take the drug on a regular basis."
How do you give it early if you don't give it to mild symptoms?
This is what I mean about there being a bajillion anecdotal reports, most of which directly contradict or at least contraindicate one another

i dont understand the hydrochloro debate. there is a huge focus on the media but the media doesnt control approval.
shouldnt the heat be on the FDA or whoever else has a hand in approval? the public debates seem futile.***Gender Non-Committed***

no clue
We have a drug that’s been around for decades, can be prescribed “off label” , and is voted as the best drug against covid by 2k doctors
The resistance by the media makes no sense at all
In most states, your doc can prescribe it to you
I suggest calling your doctor proactively and get their thoughts on itDallas Cowboys

heres the thing, i understand ignoring his "just a flu" stuff, but i doubt he knows what hydroxychloroquin never mind what it does what its used for. Somebody in the medical field must have mentioned it too him. Did he blow it out of proportion? Of course. But it came from somewhere, likely a doctor who does believe that it works. Fauci wants to see some data before he endorses it, understandably.

I'm sure it "came from somewhere". But so did his facts about how the flu compares to coronavirus. He got that from somewhere lol
He could have got either one from a jobob on ******** for all we know
I don't know what Fauci wants, Trump talks over and doesn't let him answer. hm

Seeing more and more people who are saying they don't GAF, after this month they're going to go back to doing what they want. Many of these were also people who were hard on more strict shutdowns too. Hope this last 3 weeks helps because I believe it's about all we're getting.

I'm sure that after these 3 weeks we'll either be far enough along the spike won't be higher next month than what's already behind us, or it will be so bad this month people won't be in the DGAF category any more. So, okay either way. If that makes sense.
Though I suppose it's hard not to worry about the "see it wasn't the end of the world [because of distancing] therefore we don't need distancing let's party!" and then it gets worse

One thing I think Trump fukked up on was never issuing a nation wide stay at home order. Now we have so many different timelines going on no one really has a clue when things are supposed to open back up and what exactly it is they should be doing as far as their State goes. Some places just issued one and some companies are just now furloughing employees or laying them off.
Cuomo just completely shut down the bodies being buried in parks in NYC. The media is complete scum.I was always looking at the finger pointing at

any idiot can compare the flu to the coronavirus (see; Misc), i doubt any non medical professionals knew what HCQ was before this whole debate started. As 5x10 mentions below, Trump just blew its effectiveness out of proportion and without considering that people would panic buy it and lead to issues for those who were prescribed it.
He wouldnt of heard it from a non medical professional IMO. This couldnt of been just a random trump ramble because its too specific to a certain field in which Trump wouldnt have a clue aboutKeep mod discussions out of your sig line

2,000 deaths a day don't mean much to someone when they don't know someone sick or know someone who died.
Fked up, but that's just the way it is.
I mean, cancer kills thousands of people a day too, but most people don't give a **** much about cancer until someone they know has it or dies from it. Not saying the two are the same thing, but it's a common thing we see all the time. When something doesn't effect you directly, it's easy to make it feel like it's so far away and not a worry for you.Last edited by R3L3NTL3SS; 04-06-2020 at 09:51 AM.

Also true
And a lot of us do a lot of things to try to get the cancer number down.
I would call people retards if they claimed there was no relationship between smoking and cancer, for example. But even then, that's not nearly as contagious (if at all...second hand smoke maybe in some cases??) as a virus.
