At the moment I’m ~145lb at 5’7 or 5’8, I eat 3 meals everyday (breakfast, lunch, dinner), which by itself adds up to 2800-3000 calories and I don’t think I’m burning anything beyond 100-150 calories daily unless it’s a cardio day where I’d burn ~200 calories.
But, I’m wondering if it’d be unhealthy or a bad idea to eat 3 bowls of oats everyday to get extra calories in. Typically I have oats for breakfast, so I’d be eating another 2 bowls throughout the day.
I used to get extra bulking calories in by eating 5 spoons of peanut butter throughout the day, but I’ve stopped because I’m pretty sure it was causing me to get acne.
Should I try getting extra calories through additional fruits / vegetables or seasoning meals / olive oil on meals?

Eat oats. That is what horses eat. You'll be built like a horse in 3 years. I can not guarantee that you will be hung like a horse.

A really restrictive diet might seem like a good idea on paper because it's easy to plan - only have to calculate those pesky macros once.
But in reality you'll get bored of it after a while, you'll be eating at restaurants or other people's places etc. Variety is better and calculating the calories is not really that much of a gyp.

It depends.
If you eat them with egg whites, I would say "Yes, bad idea"
Not for you, but for the people around you.
But if you have more enemies than loved ones, I would say it becomes a good idea.
Up it up to 4 times a day oats + egg whites, and I would add a bunch of beans on the weekends, just in case.I like to learn from the mistakes of the people who take my advice.

It would certainly produce more gas. In all seriousness, beans have more protein than oats so it might be better if your total protein intake is not as good as it could be.
I have a feeling that things that produce acne do so because they are positively affecting your anabolic hormones. It's just an unfortunate side effect.

Oats are great. Only way I could see it being an issue if they kept you very full and prevented you from getting enough calories. Then you'd want to consider another food that allows you to eat more.
