TW3 is in contention for my fav game of all time, but this for sure. Beaten multiple times on Death March. The combat is definitely better at the higher difficulties but it’s still very RPG level with regard to the action. I’ve played so much that don’t even notice it anymore but definitely noticed the first time I played

Strong Retard. Witcher 3 is one of the only games where you can do the Main Story and the Side Quests and read the Character background descriptions without getting bored. That's just how interesting the game is. Just beat Hearts of Stone the feels that brought is non other. Worse is I got the bad ending and wanted to shoot myself in the head, but luckily I did a quick reload and got the good ending.
I'm not sure how Cyberpunk 2077 will bring those feels, we'll see.

Many of the people who already got their hands on it said it has a lot of Witcher 3 vibes from the aspect of lots of loveable, very interesting characters. And also many of the quests will get you in the feels much like Witcher 3. They also said it's kind of crazy how relatable a lot of the game feels since it seems so far off in the future, but in reality we're right on the edge of a lot of the themes and all in the game. Sounds like CDPR will be bringing that same 10/10 story work from TW3 right over into CP2077.
People can chit talk and try to look for reasons to hate this game - but pretty much every single reviewer that has already played it has nothing but great things to say about it aside from minor bugs that still haven't been worked out, etc.
Game will be an EASY 9+/10.

CD absolutely made great use of the lore. No doubt. But id argue its not fair to give them credit for merely using lore that already exists in the greater witcher IP. Most other games are using unique stories and characters they invented themselves.
Id also argue that isnt what makes a game a great game. Number 1 in my opinion is actual gameplay, which even many Witcher faithful admit wasnt anything special
