Is there a campaign or is it an online only thing?

There is a campaign that you have to complete to unlock higher difficulties.

The game itself is 'only online' - you need a live internet connection to play, there is no offline mode.

I plan to buy the Digital Deluxe edition probably, but the ultimate edition is only $10 more so... idk. On the fence about which one to get tbh. Either way I just want to play 4 days early and get the battle pass with it, planning to take off work for several of the early days. 99% chance I'm going sorcerer and doing a lightning build, but wanna see what people think of the specs first though.

Tbh i can't shake off the feeling that it looks so much like diablo 3... even if they made a very determined effort to take the art direction the other way. Diablo 2 resurrected looks much, much better.

Also low key worried about the same old recycled skills. Fingers crossed brehs.

Its not like you can max your character or anything, its just act 1 and level 25 that is unlocked during the test.... Try it brah it will be lit 100% I have shifted so many things so the early access suits.

In my city, yeah. Cuz I live in an island. Once it is sold out, you have to wait for next shipment next week. And Diablo 4 gets released 2 days before my Euro trip. So I'll play as much as I can for 2 days then lend the disc to my cousins.

AAA releases are risky of getting sold out(til next shipment) here.

Ah that sucks broshep, I relate though to having a physical copy of the game being awesome. Order a small KFC meal and get a code with it or there are codes being posted daily across gaming platforms if you are lucky and fast enough to grab one.

I think even the disc version would have a code that would be tied to an account that is yours. Iam pretty sure you cannot share games anymore unless you gave your cousin your account details.

and I hated on Diablo Immortal b/c of it's predatory tactics but I tried it on mobile yesterday on a whim and it's fun as hell. Got to level 28 on a monk (didn't spend a dime and won't be). Don't need to pay anything to get through the game, at least as of now.

It's early access for the open beta.

Early access open beta takes place this weekend 17-20th, general open beta is next week, 24-27th. And all beta progress gets wiped.


During the Early Access weekend, players will have access to three classes. Assume the role of the battle-bred Barbarian, nimble Rogue, or elementally tuned Sorcerer. Once the Open Beta weekend comes around, the earthen Druid and undead-wielding Necromancer classes can also be played in addition to the original three.

A maximum of 10 characters can be made per Battle.net account. After reaching Level 25 with one character, we recommend you try repelling demonic hordes with additional classes to find your favorite. While progress will transfer from Early Access to Open Beta weekends, all characters made during these weekends will be deleted once the Beta ends.



Only the 3 titles will carry over to live.


It wouldn’t be a trip to Sanctuary without earning a cache of unique rewards along the way. As you play Diablo IV during the Open Beta and Early Access weekends, showcase your wanderer’s prowess by collecting all three Open Beta rewards. Players who unlock these rewards will receive them once Diablo IV launches.

Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character.
Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.
Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character.

Don’t listen to that tard above me. There is early access to the open beta and then there is early access to the full game if you pre order. There’s nothing to really “carry over” at that point because you are just playing the full game. If you are interested in playing the seasons, it won’t matter though because Season 1 doesn’t start immediately.

Saw that. Idk what’s going on with that video but the game looks like chit there. Looks a lot different than previous videos of the game. They’re using controllers so I really hope the console version isn’t completely fuked.

That's what offline characters are for. Many games have done this in the past. It's just much easier for them to force everyone online, constantly getting advertised to, etc.
