Not that I dislike it, I am actually still enjoying what I've seen more than most, but because now people can understand the perspective of those who didn't think Titan was GOAT. It is literally the same formula and character archetypes but because the "omg titan so crazzzzyy u guyz like omg so gud 10/10" effect isn't part of the equation and/or people know what to expect it's not as "revolutionary" (LMAO at people who still think that). I will say one thing though, Ikoma is just as much of an annoying ******* as Eren was. Levi 4 president/10.

Read both of this. Haven't seen the OG Berserk anime adaptation but don't intend to. Quite content with the OVAs plus I doubt the anime can be as brutal as manga. That said looking forward to seeing the new Berserk. As for Vinland Saga

SnK also gone to chit with the illuminati bullchit that is happening in the manga now.

But the first season of the anime, I think it was much more well done than Kabaneri. can't really pin point it but I think the pacing and the way the story is presented is more appealing - regardless of the quality of story. it was also the first anime of its kind I watched, so I guess extra points from there.

Kabaneri also structured the story differently - and focused on saving Mumei cringefest rather than Humanity vs Monsters that Attack on Titan had.

Blatant events? Does that make a story inherently bad? troupes exist for a reason. they are blatant because you've been exposed to them so much, but they aren't inherently bad.

The book they were reading was Moby-Dick. Ichirohiko picked it up after they ran away and read a page, hence the whale.

Also, Ichirohiko represented what Kyuta could have become. Think the Whale to Ahab in the book.

Started bleach years ago never got down to finishing it. However, if I'm 300 odd chapters into bleach, is it worth
a) getting up to date with the manga
b) finish off the anime (from roughly where the 300th chapter is in the anime)

Finish the anime (skip the filler arcs) up to Fullbringers arc (you'll know when that is). Watch anime for the last bit of the Arc (it's much better animated but the ending is non-canon and it'll be obvious why - the anime ended then).

Then just read the manga up to now. Don't speedreed when Fullbringer arc ends.

My only complaint about this series now that it's almost ended is that I really think theycould've improved the animation. For such a big show I don't really feel the animation stood out compared to othershows. And If I recall, Bones is a pretty well known and somewhat big studio. So I really wish they would've improved the animation. But maybe I got spoiled by one punch man's godlike animation.

They rushed making the anime (as most studios do for most shows) but did a really good job. Those sort of shots always look bad in anime unless the artstyle flows everywhere - manga can easily do artstyle transitions compared to anime due to shadows. It's too much effort and money to do the extremely detailed closeups unless it's a movie or redoing it for Blu-Ray or a really dedicated key animator and director.
