Anybody else look at this program yet? I was excited to see what it was all about and checked it out today, and now I think it just sounds ridiculous. The amount of sets and reps each exercise and then doing it twice a day with slightly higher reps in the PM.
I wanted to try this in a few weeks but now I dont think I'm going to.
Anyone else have thoughts on it?

I have a question about the supplements maybe you guys can help me with. He has you taking creatine 3 times a day. I take the ON Creatine and it recommends one teaspoon a day. Would I split that into 3 for the day?

I managed to go through the workout plan but then i got to the nutrition plan and couldnt help but click the 'close' button.
Just another way to make you buy s**t load of supp stacks.
Feel sorry for the people who take this seriously and spend so much money on supps, regardless of costs, nutrition shouldnt be based on supps.

Creatine timing isn't relevant. Once your muscles are saturated, they are saturated. Just take your 3-5g per day.
Edit: I laughed my azz off at the supplemental glutamine and HMB, then I got to the "whey protein calculator" that advised I needed 51 grams of whey per meal. Oh Met-Rx you make me giggle.
The reason they suggest 3 times a day is to get the full dosage of C HCl. There is only 1g per two capsules of the Torbolic. Just get monoLast edited by lucia316; 02-05-2013 at 11:49 AM.

Has anybody attempted this yet?
Some of his excerises are very strange and wouldnt attempt at a gym but twice a day really? Whats the benifit of that? Would not be better with just one workout a day?
Not too keen on on his meal plan either but always hear of alot if people going on a "liquid diet" and can work quite well.
Whats your thoughts in it?

a lot of the workouts he does in this program are also the same as his videos on his site. so at least those are somewhat legit.
however the nutrition and supplement part is just plain retarded and nothing more then a gimmick to buy more met-rx products.
if i was you maybe do the morning workout and ab circuit only and just eat your regular food.

Be it just for four weeks, it does look quite overkill.
I know I wouldn't be able to handle the liquid diet part of itStarting Weight: 310lbs, 41.8% BF 11/2008
First Goal weight: 230, 7/2011, 24% BF
100lbs Down: 210, 2/2012, 17% BF

Liquid diet and only solid food once a day.... I wouldn't follow that diet ever. and the 2 a days might be more harmful than beneficial

I have just finished the second week of the workout, doing the evening workout when possible (definitely doing the ab workout in the evening). Of course in every one of the videos of supplements they have a Met-RX product for each supp he is talking about since the program is sponsored by Met-RX that was definitely part of the agreement, getting to plug their products. I have every supplement recommended by the program, none of which are Met-RX products and also much cheaper, just got my order in the mail of 100serving creatine, 100 serving glutamine and 55 serving BCAA for $50.93 total (including shipping). The liquid diet is a bit difficult, but with my current school schedule I really only get one solid meal in per day so it kind of works out. Curious to see where I will be 2 more weeks from now, I really enjoy the emphasis on maximizing flexibility with every exercise, I have become to accustomed to partial reps so its good that this program pushes me out of my stale routine and changing it up!

Good stuff bro. I am going through this program too. I am nearing completion of the 2nd week. I am not following the liquid diet and am eating around 4k cals of solid food. Can definitely tell that this program has shocked my body. The gains however have been small. I am interested in seeing where I will be upon completion! Sucks waking up extra early to go train! Also, don't like the lack of lower body training in this program. 4 straight days of upper body?! 2 back workouts following 2 chest workouts?

If you have every supplement recommended by the program, you wasted your money. Creatine is fine, but glutamine doesn't do anything for you. Even if it did, if you're meeting your protein macro daily you get plenty of glutamine in your diet, so supplementing it is a waste. The same goes for BCAAs.
Save your money next time.

Currently doing this program. Have noticed almost immediate improvements in my abdominal area, with the emphasis on my definition and strength. I had a good bit of waterweight, but quickly lost most of it thanks to how much these workouts push me mentally and physically whilst making me sweat gallons haha. If you actually try this with the intensity and timing that he lists, it's excessively effective. My body as a whole is already about 2x as solid, and I am seeing extremely good results in the definition. As for mass...not a whole lot bigger, just mainly more solid.
I'm trying out the nutrition plan, since this is one of the easier plans for me to follow. I am a college student that wakes up at 530, works out from 6-8ish, studies from 930-1130ish, has classes from 1230-430, tutors students from 5-730, then hits the 2nd workout from 730-930ish. Very little time available, so this nutrition plan is relatively practical for me. The liquids he has you drinking actually do keep me satiated until the one big meal time...which is where he clearly states "Eat like a f***ing lion," which is definitely necessary. If i eat like that, this "plan" goes over pretty well. Typically my meal consists of a good 2/2.5 lbs of meats and about a half a plate of broccoli/veggies.
Definitely meant for anyone beyond a beginner that has hit some sort of plateau...or just wants to try something crazy, fun, and new.
So people can say it's ridiculous, or it won't work....but truth is----you never know until you try. You can make conjectures and throw out possibilities, but I will say "Do it, and you'll see." Every workout is a WORKOUT. I love it. After the first week, it becomes something you look forward to more and more. It's an addiction. It pushes me beyond whatever threshold I previously thought I had. It's amazing....this man is definitely one I have come to revere with his attitude, desire, and capabilities.

It sucks, honestly I think the whole thing is a waste of time..
Plus who wants to drink their calories all day and have only one solid meal??
How can you possibly get your MICROS?

Currently a Ranger as well. Personally I love Greg's workouts, their extremely military emphasized where we aren't trying to bulk to the point of not being able to wipe our own asses (battle buddies can only go so far). Carpenterav had one of the few thoughtful posts in this thread IN MY OPINION, in that he said don't bash it until you try it. I Will be starting this tomorrow as something new and fun. Currently 6'2 205 and right around 9% BF so really I have nothing to lose as I truly don't care about how bulked I am, rather I just care that my body is able to perform the tasks I ask of it.
The Liquid diet will be difficult but hey.. What diet isn't. If you've done one, you can do another. The way I see it it's a 28 day workout.. If you don't like it, stop doing it and switch. No need to hate on it without trying it though, come on community.

Sweating a lot, losing water weight and exercising will cause all you just stated about abs and definition. Especially losing the water weight. Just saying. Doesn't mean the program is beneficial, just means you are finally not bloated with water lol. Going running or hiit training would do the same effect

Hmmm indeed.. If you are insinuating that I'm the same account as the poster I quoted I can assure you I am not. In fact I hadn't noticed that we were post 1 until you mentioned it. I am by no means starting an argument war... Just saying that I enjoy military fitness. The fact that I referenced another first post was merely coincidence. The topic at hand is whether or not the workout is worth your and my time.. Only one way to find out. I by no means endorse Greg or the supplements he is recommending. I have no intentions of using them.. Just the workout program which is free to me. As stated before if I don't see a change I will stop and do something else.

I absolutely agree with you. However, I personally dub this program beneficial for ME. I love the weight it's added. I've lost all of the water weight/fat, while remaining the same actual scaled weight. It's firmed up my midsection, back, abs, chest, shoulders, and legs (which it's designed to do)---whilst providing awesome definition. I feel stronger, and can actually push more weight the next round.
Another huge bonus is the fact that when you're done with each day's workouts, you are exhaust-fully thinking "I made it through one of the most difficult, rigorous, exhausting workouts created by one insane man that has been labeled as one of the top (if he's not the top any more) fitness professionals out there." It's a feeling of accomplishment in itself. Especially leg day. Dear god...leg day sucks.

Anyone can make up ridiculously over the top workouts, call them challenging, and put them out there. It isn't anything special. There's also the problem of you gaining muscle mass and losing fat at the same time...Noob gainz recomp maybe? Caloric deficit = fat loss, caloric surplus = muscle gain. Doing both at same time, damned near impossible in 2 weeks.

From Stoppani's BS, to gethin's 50-rep hypertrophy plans, to the "Shortcut" programs, and now this current mess, whenever the fallacies of these bogus programs are pointed out, someone invariably posts this same sentiment.
It's called common sense. Natties don't train on double-splits, or train to ridiculous numbers of reps, or expect some "shortcut" to mass/strength because none of it has proven to work in the past.
All you plitt nut-huggers should spend a few minutes looking through the 'workout journals' subforum on this site (where the rubber actually meets the road), look at how any of the long-term journalers who happen to have avatars/progress pics showing good development, and see how many of them are using any of those BS 'super site' programs.
I didn't have to own, or even drive, one of these to know it was a POS:
Carry on.No brain, no gain.
