If so, what rank are you? I'm beginning to feel like getting out of Bronze is basically impossible.
I initially got placed in Bronze 1. Crawled my way to Bronze 3, and now back at Bronze 1 because I always get teamed up with fktards or opposing team has obvious smurfs. I like the game a lot, but they have to figure out something better with the ranking system. It needs to be based in individual performance more.
You can hard carry your team, but if your team loses - you still lose rank points. Makes no sense at all.

not gunna lie....I've popped into Ninjas stream to watch him play Valorant out of curiousity and it's entertaining to watch but I think I'm too dumb to play that game....i'm more of a COD and CS type of FPS guy lol...plus i dont think my PC could run it since it cant even run CS:GO

Valorant is CS:GO for the short bus.
I am tired of the "my teammates suck, therefore I should be higher rank mentality." Your aim sucks, get over yourself.
I was plat in 1 week of trying the game out before I decided I did not like it, based on aim alone in solo queue. I hardly knew the abilities or mechanics of the game yet.

Cool post. Is that why so many CS pros went to Valorant?
Anyway, I'd like to 1v1 you if/when you have time. Sounds like you could teach me a thing or two.
No you weren't.
I keep up with a lot of Immortal and Radiant players and I'm pretty sure not a single one of them got that high after playing the game for a week...Last edited by R3L3NTL3SS; 02-23-2021 at 02:12 PM.

Any PC in the last 10 years can max CS:chitfensive out
That game is so 2007 tier that my GPU doesn't even leave idle state when running it unless I move to 4K max settings
Stop aiming for 500fps, it's pointless
Anyway Valorant is CS with fortnite visuals to appeal to 12 year olds*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

because you're confusing personal performance as an indication of how the ranked system works in a team-based game. Personal performance is calculated in points lost or gained but winning/ losing rounds fundamentally is more important and weighted a lot more heavily. it sucks but it is what it is
I havent played in around 3 months, was plat last season with 20 or so ranked games in the season after placing gold 1 or something, so not a lot but im pretty decent at the game though probably pretty ****ing rusty atm
As a bronze you need to focus on fundamentals, counterstrafing (in the case of valorant learning how to abuse the 30% movement speed accuracy when counterstrafting ie. shooting when you start moving in the other direction instead of just tapping is meta), crosshair placement, map knowledge, basic strats etc.
Just focus on hitting headshots via crosshair placement and propper peaking and you'll probably hit silver pretty easily.
Lots of good education content on youtube xtr, dragonmar and gameleap vids are good
If youre actually serious about figuring out your mistakes, record a few vods and critique them heavily or better yet have a better player watch one and give you feedback since you'll probably miss things youre doing wrongLast edited by Smithers115; 02-25-2021 at 05:50 PM.

I mean yeah I totally get that. Just makes it really hard to move up. Bronze is especially difficult. Most auto lock agents they can't play well (or agents that aren't going to help with what other people have already picked. (EX: Having a team full of nothing but fking duelists...no smokes, no heals, etc.) Most have no comms whatsoever, the ones that actually do have a mic at all don't know how to call anything out. You really have to get lucky to get on a team that at least 2 other people have a mic and are good at communicating, etc.

yeah, ive heard similar things from friends and online. You still have silent lobbies in gold, not so much plat but more egos.
It's definitely easier to rank up with a couple of friends. Check out a valorant LFG subreddit or discord perhaps if you dont have any buddies in bronze/silver that playGreat MAGA King status

Got into a game last night with a team where 4 of us total had mics. Not everyone was even that good, but we had such good comms it was a pretty easy win. I'm convinced getting out of Bronze is 100% about just getting lucky and landing a team that knows how to communicate. You don't need skill to get out of Bronze, just need a team that isn't fking retarded.

Play Unrated for a few days just to get the layout of maps, feel of guns, etc. There's really no single best agent. All about how you want to play the game really. Agents you might not play as well, the next person might be cracked AF with them.
Valorant is very much a game that is won or lost in gunfights. The abilities just set you and your team up to win said gunfights.
