The only reason it looks bad for them is because the US has become obsessed with black people being able to do whatever they want, with no consequences. If someone is acting obnoxiously/bothering someone/creating a bad environment, it's common for establishments to use some other excuse to ask them to leave, rather than telling them directly that they're bothering people and need to leave.

ex. I've seen people get kicked out of theaters on a few occasions irl for acting inappropriately; the ushers always ask to see their tickets first, because they're looking for a more objective excuse to tell them to leave. If you tell obnoxious people they have to leave for their behavior, the person usually creates a bigger scene.

Makes total sense. I’m not from the US, and I missed that as an easy way to tell people to leave... and the guy did look like a bum to be fair.
The few times I’ve been eating where people are behaving too “over the top”, either other guests tell them to stfu or staff does it on behalf on the other guest, and people usually apologize and quiet down. Only one time have I seen someone leave pissed after that.

It’s suspect that the restaurant is not clearing things up though. If they were acting like kunts before, just release the video of that.

If this is their first time there which I suspect then they need to follow the dress code if there is one. If they have spent "thousands of dollars" in that place I am positive they would know the owner and staff. If the staff decided to deny them for some reason then that would seem suspect.

Anyways I never understood making a scene, if you aren't allowed in a business then go somewhere else that allows you. I have been denied entry into a club because of shoes I was wearing even though they were dress/athletic. I just went somewhere else and had fun.

Sure if you’re the owner and it’s your buddy wearing shoes who cares. But that’s not gonna fly today with so much tension and sensitivity with the topic of race. All of the staff and owner should have just let their egos go, let them eat for the 1-1.5 hr and done, you prevented the destruction of your own restaurant.
