I wanted to see if stopping masturbation for that period of time would be beneficial for myself, if i would stop being so horny and so centred in sex. It was all a lie to myself to masturbate, but i hoped that doing so, would have a positive side to it.

It didn't. Immediately after ejaculating i got dead tired, i lost my aggressiveness (which i gained in those 18 days of no fap) and "will" to do things. My artistic side was dead. I was a zombie.

Masturbation feels great but as sex, when i finish i got really ****ing lazy and loose my creativity/strength. I can still have sex or masturbate for other 3 or 4 times, but aside from that i don't want to do ****.

Luckily i broke my no fap on 18 days so it wasn't a great lost. I started it the new streak with more decision on stopping this addiction.

I've read the intro thread and I still don't get the point of doing no-fap unless you're completely ****ed up or something. Looking at the reasons to do it and the benefits, pretty much none apply to me.

1. I've been fapping to the same stuff my entire life. Hot girls having sex. Obviously I drifted around from fetish to fetish but they last like a month max and in the end it all goes back to basics. There's absolutely no decrease in libido.

2. Masturbation isn't in any way related to my interaction with girls. I don't avoid them knowing that I can just jack off. There's also no shame involved. I fap because it feels good and I like it. I talk to girls for validation and the sense of conquest that comes with success.

3. Productivity doesn't change. It takes 15-20 minutes for a single fap session. Considering that this fap session occurs when I'm chilling, if I wasn't fapping I'd be playing COD or just browsing the internet or miscing. It's not like I spend 3 hours a day diligently searching for, notarizing, and archiving pron.

4. The benefits suck:

-Reduced acne

-Increased productivity

But take the no fap crew out of your sig, and you forgot to include the fact that no fap increases willpower which is a great mental status to have. An increase in willpower can often lead to increased confidence, productivity and aspirations.

An addiction is an addiction, and if you can conquer it, you will have a better and clearer mind state.

As for the fapping itself and porn. You may be an exception but porn normally leads to relying on more intense scenes to release over time thus lessening the pleasure of real life sex. Also though you may be enjoying sex now, it would be even more pleasurable if you don't jack off which weakens the cell sensitivity in your dink

Studying went up, socializing went easier, started my own company, felt much sharper, slept better and felt a lot better on average. Had some serious lows though and also a sick panic attack. All was gone after the first month and I gave myself the excuse to fap again because I 'needed to do it' because I wanted to expand my sexual endurance.

After breaking the streak I've had a horrible time starting again, even though I've felt the benefits for myself.

I (and others) have personally noticed this, and it isn't just placebo, there's something else to it as well - probably hormones/pheromone changes that girls can subconsciously detect.

Someone like you who gets regular interest from girls might not notice it but for someone like me it's a huge change.
