I love Malan's squats. I thought this was an especially pretty heaviest squat of all time--2.5m wraps, walked out. And I thought his depth was a little better than usual.

The best thing is that he shakes during the walkout, during the descent...but not going up. That always gives his squats that "wow" factor where it looks like, "How is he going to lift that?" and then he comes out of the hole with so much speed.

So he finally stopped competing in 2m wraps? Thank god lol. Now put him in 3m wraps and he'll be hitting 500kg.

I don't know. I assume or he wouldn't be going. But when is the last time he had a good meet in which he didn't sleep in his own bed the night before, much less overseas?

Monolift yes. WRPF uses monolifts. Don't know about 3m wraps though. Haven't seen a rulebook from them yet.

He actually did pretty damn well at CAPO a few years ago, since then he has only done what, one other international meet at which many lifters did poorly? Maybe I'm forgetting one. I just really hope he does well.

just finished a 3 week wave with the SSB. tempted to deload next week and try for a PR the following week. love that bar. not excited to go back to a straight bar so might do another wave with a cambered bar.

edit: since we're talking about sleep supps, Iron Dream by MusclePharm knocks me out pretty good.

Speaking of SSB's, anyone here use the Spider Bar? It has recently piqued my interest and I may make one once I upgrade my little garage fab area if people say it is good.

also today i got a bloody nose like 10 seconds after I walked in the gym lol, didnt even get to lift first. Then i proceeded to miss a 350 bench at lockout on the left side.. fuk me, and here i thought i had gainz coming after getting a bloody nose

Great meet man. It was awesome watching all day Saturday.

Early morning workouts are brutal! Having to wake up at 3:30am with heavy squats on deck is no bueno.

On a positive note I get to test out some Outlaw knee wraps.

-Entered a big poker tourney and chopped the prize when he got down to the final 2. Won $18k, a $4500 trip to a poker series in Aruba, and a $1k watch and sunglasses.

-Was very excited for football season and the Packers to dominate until Jordy got hurt...and then Cobb got hurt...now he just cries himself to sleep at night.

-Is not very strong anymore and not doing Raw Nationals.

Yea my last 4 times at the casino have been -$130, $112, $460 and $300(canadian). I thought I was doing well then this fawker tells me he won $18k.

because my knee was killing me, my patellar tendon is still angry. think it tweaked a bit on my last sleeves warmup before I started wrapping.
