Well, they could sneak into the top 10 in the draft if they did that and could find a LT that doesn’t suck or maybe a QB depending on how the draft falls which would be better for them in the long run.
But they play the Lions (garbage team), the Jags (literally one of the worst teams in the NFL), and the Texans who have been playing better but still aren’t good.
They could easily win 3 more games. I’d bet two. Plus, Green Bay will probably be resting in the last game of the year, so the Bears will almost certainly win that game and cost themselves draft position.

They could have easily lost to the Lions week 1 I think the Lions come out more motivated after Patricia is gone. Could be like a Falcons like trap game after they fired Quinn.
The Jags had an extremely close game with the Browns and the Packers recently easily could be a trap game. Houston had a really tough schedule so they have a bad record but they've been playing way better as of late. I don't really seeing the packers resting their players.
If the defense decides to pur the effort they did against GB they're going 5-11 100%. Also depends on how long hicks is out for.Bald crew

Well, the Packers have a ****ty defense (when they face competent offenses) so playing them close isn’t a big deal—and imo, more of an indictment on the Bears offense. And the Jags have still only won one game and the Lions are the Lions. No team finds ways to lose more than them.
I personally think Houston is the game the Bears are probably most likely to lose since you figure Watson will be motivated to give Pace the proverbial finger for passing on him for Trubisky.
If Nagy has lost the locker room and the defense is going to mail it in for the rest of the season then the Bears are likely going to lose out but I’m not sure that will happen and we won’t know until Sunday.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Harbaugh has coached in the NFL... reached a Super Bowl in his 4th year. Worst season was 8-8. You can say what you want about the 49'ers division at the time or that team that had Colin at QB... but he is a clear upgrade from loser Nagy but I am open to suggestions. I have also heard rumors that Pagano could step in line if Nagy is fired. Harbaugh wasn't a failure at Michigan by most metrics but a prestigious program like that expects to be national contenders year after year... not just t25 just to get curb stomped by the Buckeyes for almost a decade. I don't think any of those coaches you named coached in a super bowl or even won a playoff game. And Matt Rhule is a chode who was a .500 coach at Baylor and will be fired within the next few years. There's literally only one guy that comes to mind in terms of being an elite college and NFL coach and that is Pete Carroll.

The frustration the defense must have with Nagy and the offense has to have finally peaked. That defense, while not at the 2018 levels, is still very good and has done more than enough to keep them in games despite the offense being horrific.
The offensive woes all come down to coaching. There are less talented units that move the ball much better. Mitch isn't a pocker passer and they need to stop treating him like one. Let him start using his legs to open the pass attacking up if need be. Coaches need to stop trying to make the players fit their system and start making the system fit their personnel.

This is a big deal right here. Week in and week out I watch other teams that are basically tanking put up better offensive days on a more consistent basis. The Jets are horrendous and at times they can at least move the ball down the field and get first downs. The Jaguars have started 3 different QBs and have a horrible offensive line and have still put up more total points than the Bears. It's just pathetic.

And Harbaugh is now getting out coached by 0-5 college coaches. Lovie Smith made a SuperBowl too, don’t want to go back to him either.
How about they at least target someone with a track record of success on offense this year?
And the McCaskey’s are always reluctant to fire people in season which probably contributes to them never getting the best candidates.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis

Nagy holds no one on his offense accountable or teaches anything. Coward has been horrible since he's played on the line ans it took them two years to realise he should never start. The line was much better without him. Leno was the worst O lineman out last Sunday and has sucked but never gets benched because he's the highest paid on the line. Mitch still hasn't learned when hes out of the pocket he can throw the ball away instead of run out of bounds lmao. Mitch threw an INT into double coverage to an undersized receiver and his coach said he's okay with it because he's taking a shot.
On the defensive side of the ball Eddie Jackson and Robert Quinn got paid big money then fell of a cliff.
Playcalling was better the packers game but that could be they were down against the packers so many points they weren't going to run stupid gadget plays.Bald crew

This just 100% baffles me. I don't know how as a QB in the NFL you continue to insist on running out of bounds to lose yardage instead of throwing the ball away. It's inexcusable crap we've seen from him since he was drafted. Especially when as bad as this offense is you need every SINGLE possible positive yard you can get at any time.

They need to go.
If some team wants to cave to Robinson's outrageous salary demands good for them.
Miller has a bad attitude and lost his job to a rookie drafted significantly later than him.

Not resigning Allen Robinson was another Pace blunder. Don’t really care about Anthony Miller (he’s not worth the draft capital Pace foolishly gave up for him) he hasn’t been special, drops too many passes and being voted most likely to be late to practice is embarrassing. Wims is just a depth guy—there’s been no difference with Ridley playing.

Yeah he deserves to go to a team with a QB and get paid. Gotta be hella frustrating for him.
Also anyone got a count on how many balls mitch threw into the dirt 10 feet away from receivers? I can't believe this botard is still here to defend Mitch. He'll rot on the bench the rest of his career if someone even bothers to pick him up.

Robinson's a bum too.
He wants WR1 money yet how many games can you remember him ****ing up making big drops, losing 50/50 balls, etc?
He's not as good as he seems to think and most other teams will quickly tire of his antics.
Too many looking at his tenure as a Bear through rose tinted glasses.
"But he never had a legit QB"
OK let him go to a legit QB and throw tantrums if/when he feels he isn't targeted enough.
See how long that'll fly for while he's dropping TD's and having small DB's "little bro" him for the ball like a bitch.
He's a good WR2 option who got it in his head that he's an elite WR1.
It's not true.
Allen Robinson isn't even a top 16 WR in the NFL.
A great QB isn't gonna make him be able to beat double coverage or fight for contested passes.
He's a crybaby with a bad attitude who acts like his **** doesn't stink. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

What makes it worse is that he chose Trevathan who is on the wrong side of 30 and who has clearly lost a step over him.
While he doesn’t have a howlitzer, Trubisky has some physical talent. His main issues are he doesn’t have the it factor and he apparently can’t get a handle on the mental aspect of the game.
Beyond just reading defenses (or recognizing that if his target is triple teamed someone is probably open somewhere else), someone mentioned his habit of stepping out of bounds for a loss instead of throwing it away.
The Bears brought in different coaches to work with him this year and he’d changed his personal coach in the offseason but he still does that and his footwork still falls apart on critical throws way too often. Different voices have already failed to get through to him.
Maybe just being a backup for a few years and doing nothing but working on his many issues will help him. But I wouldn’t hold my breath.Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. -C.S. Lewis
