Has anyone ever heard the story where Milos Sarcev nearly died due to some complications when he experimented with synthol...I found the interview on a czech bodybuilding site where he says that the synthol got into his veins and near his heart. It was suppose to be so bad that the doctor wanted him to sign organ dodnor papers. He also says in the interview that he did an his experience was suppose to published in the Flex magazine but they decided to not have it published.

Kind of surprising to hear that Milos has used synthol in his arms

emblematic of a BBing wide prblem.
Just shows you how truly sick most these pros have gotten......obsessed with size and cuts they will resort to injecting any concoction into their bodies. Many of them do not/will not see 60 in a period when many of those "fatasses" will se 90+ years of age.
The sad thing is people on here think they(elite bodybuilders) live a healthy lifestyle because they forgo eating a goshdarn snickers once a week.....and dont eat any carbs...hillarious.
And of course AASs have no effect on self image or the brain/moods. Not to mention the effects on your vascular, endocrine,cardio.....systems.
Sarcev is frustrated by his genetic limitations, he isnt the biggest framed guy, and like alot on this site looked to grow "by any means necessary.
People her celebrate being "obsessed", "driven", "anal" when in reality none of those traits are necessary to look great, feel great, and live a long healthy life. Many on here would do well to read up on the profiles of the ultralonglifed those that live 90 years plus.
Extreme exercise or diet has absolutely no effect on lifespan....
OTOH, injecting yourself with an unknown substance 9 inchs from your heart may have some effect on length of life.

If he was so obsessed by size why does he have one of the most aesthetical physique in world of bodybuilding ? He is fit all year round and has competed in 72 IFBB pro events.
Don't blame him but the crazy judges paid by Weider to choose the freakiest guy on the stage with the freakiest arms, vascularity... With these judges , bodybuilding appears to be more a circus or a zoo than a true competition.

All pros are about size these days......you have to be a certain size to get a procard.
How many 185 lb guys do you see in the IFBB>?
While I agree Sarcev was not "a freak" he like all other elite bodybuilders these days was looking for size/cuts like I state in my post.
The problem is people like you seem to believe somehow the bbers lifestyle is fundamentally more healthy that someone who eats in moderation plays pickup BBall 2wice a week, will take a walk with their wife once a week and garden.
It isnt more healthy and in some ways it is less healthy. It is certainly less enjoyable from a food POV..lol.
The old maxims of more is better are over.....It is funny some here will decry volume training as brainless but then engage in extreme eating habits. Less fat or carbs isnt always better, less bodyfat isnt always better, more musclemass isnt always healthier. Moderation, balance, and not trying to fight your genetics to such a degree but work with them is where true health lies.

this guy doesent have a clue what hes on about , theres loads of rumors going around about steroids cancer heart attacks breast tissue forming , even tho it has not ever been proven that it contributes to theese , how many bodybuilders have you ever hears of having heart problems because of steroids , they may have heart problems anyone could have but have you ever heard that it is a direct result of taking steroids? gynocamastia ( breast tisue in men) 60% of men will be diagnosed with this at some point in their life nevermind if they have been on steroids or not how many pros or advanced bodybuilders have you seen with man boobs?? anyone can get cancer theres so many things nowadays that cause cancer ive never personaly hered of any bodybuilders having cancer as a direct result of steroid use and as usual anyone could get cancer, it sends you infertile ?? makes your balls shrink up ?? alot of the top bodybuilders in the world ( the ones we say abuse steroids ) all have children dont they ?? so they cant be infertile, people blast steroid use and bodybuilders just for the point in doing it without properly understanding them, and im sure that soomeone will hate at me because of the way i type the point is anyway theres no proof that steroids and performance enhancing drugs cause any of these just word of mouthletting go isn't giving up its the acceptance that some things just arent ment to be

Zaxx is on the money here guys. Pro-bodybuilding is never about health, it's about looking 'good' at all costs. Just have a read:

Ummmmmm, only the very top, top IFBB pros are in the 250 and over category. Lee Priest is also down to 185 in some of his comps and Phil Heath competed at 215 his last one. So again, read up before you make statements and try to get bodybuilding a blackeye by some stupid propaganda on websites. I am sure they will live longer then most people here and probably 90% of the world's population except for that small amount of people who "abuse." I.E. Reps to USMC and other military members, Semper Fi

You are such a moron. A bodybuilder's lifestyle is healthier than most other life styles. You are keeping your narrow mind on the fact that alot of bbers use steroids. There are many all natural bodybuilding shows. Granted most pros use steroids, it doesn't mean the dieting, lifting, and cardio parts of their lives is unhealthy. Bodybuilding isn't all about steroids. Go to Tom Prince's thread on "how to turn pro," he mentions nothing about steroids.
What were you talking about earlier. "Fatasses" living to 90 years old. That isn't a "fatass" that I've ever seen. Most die of myocardial infarction long long before. So, go bash somewhere else.

Serious BBing isn't a very healthy lifestyle. Of course it's better than that 400 pounds fat ass eating mcdonalds but It's not better than ordinary joe who walks a few times a week and eats not too bad and not too well. The fact that you're constantly pushing your physical limits puts alot of stress on your body which isn't necessarily good ( especially when you will get old). Not to mention the 92838 products a lot of people take. Moderation is key if you want to live old.

Agreed. Being skinny is essential to maxing out lifespan. The more an individual weighs the sooner they die. This is true for most species on earth, from bugs to mammals. Studies have shown that very low calorie diets followed for life can nearly double the average lifespan. (!)
Sure you can be big and live a long time, but you'd live longer weighing less. Being muscular doesn't help any, it only adds more load to the heart. Bodybuilding isn't about living longer, it's about being more alpha.

1)You are such a moron.
Ok, well its hard for me to deny such a well reasoned and thoroughly researched response.
2)A bodybuilder's lifestyle is healthier than most other life styles
Well it beats complete inactivity and heroin abuse.....of course I didnt compare ELITE bbing to either. LOL.
3) You are keeping your narrow mind on the fact that alot of bbers use steroids.
Are you denying that the vast majority of professional bbers abuse/use anabolic steroids? If you are, WOW. Of course I never said most bodybuilders at large abuse steroids.....but then again what I said apparently has little to do with your response to what I said so keep rolling.
4)There are many all natural bodybuilding shows
Yes im aware of this....is there anything ive said in the thread that would remotely indicate I wasnt? Maybe a reading comprehension class might be in order buddy>..
5) Granted most pros use steroids,
DING DING DING...and hundreds of thousands of amaterus also....thanks for making my point.
6)What were you talking about earlier. "Fatasses" living to 90 years old. That isn't a "fatass" that I've ever seen
Ive heard many times people on here, perhaps not you personally, refer to those with body fat %'s as low as 17% and that eat pizza etc....as fat asses...
THOSE PEOPLE WILL BE LIVING TO 90 IN MY GENERATION GIVEN THE ADVANCES IN HEALTHCARE.
7) go bash somewhere else.
Im not bashing anyone, Im not the one who called a poster a "moron" and then went on to post something so ridiculous and brainless that it proves to indicate I am a moron.
All I basically said: Moderation, balance, and not trying to fight your genetics to such a degree but work with them is where true health lies.
Is something almost 100% of physicians will agree with and is what jibes with the data out there. But hey what is that compared to the ravings of an unintelligible bber on a website.
