How is corruption so low in the West (like US, Canada, UK, Germany etc) compared to
communist until you get rich
rightwing until financially secure
atheist until the plane starts falling
slootist until you get married
muslim after you get married

Id' think because America doesn't let any group get too powerful, they go after them.
Mafia is a perfect example, they started getting to powerful so Rico statutes were created. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.
That's why grandma's apple pie rocks and yours sucks.

^^^Racist police officer who also cries about how racism doesn't exist, also cries reverse racism and typifies the stupidity of the racist right, referring to black people as "they" and regurgitating racist stereotypes.

I believe its because we have a longer history of stable government and stronger institutions that prevent corruption. I know thats a blanket and not very in depth description but thats basically what it is. We are rich countries that have centuries to create strong government/democracies. New countries and generally ****ty ones like some of central/south america and asia africa are poorer and people are more desperate.
Like i remember the documentaries in Africa like Nigeria and stuff where the police were so corrupt they'd easily take bribes and the local gangs would control the flow of trade in areas of the cities and stuff. That just couldn't happen in the UK or the US for example as out police arent that desperate for money and the government is not at the mercy of criminals (like in mexico for example with the cartels)
Im not a expert but thats my interpretation.

Is this a trick question? It isn't "lower" by any reasonable number. The corruption in the US and the UK is rampant, the difference is that americans are better at hiding it and the general population has convinced themselves that their leaders arent corrupt (just as they have convinced themselves of BLM, being the "most free" country, that masks dont work against COVID, etc)
Americans excell as a society when it comes to operating as a herd and convincing themselves that they are right, pure and innocent.
American control groups are also #1 in controlling a mediatic narrative and are able to deflect or eliminate any inconsistency. If you deviate from the standard narrative you are labelled a conspiracy theorist, if you also happen to be a public leader, then you are eliminated/ commit suicide.
US/China/Russia are every bit as corrupt as Mexico, Brazil and Turkey.

Corruption is much more structured and stratified in the west. It takes a lot more to gain power here than a simple extortion plot and a few armed thugs with nothing to lose.
People would riot in the streets if they fully understood what happens between the fed and the banking industry, for instance.

There's still a whole bunch of corruption in the west, it's just that it doesn't usually affect the everyday person, so people tend to let it slide.
Not to mention that our quality of life is infinitely better than those in corrupt countries.RIP Lil Peep

The ones who get it:
The ones who don't get it:
What in the hell? The entire country is ruled by powerful groups. Who do you think is backing lobbying groups? I can assure you it isn't the well-to-do so and so looking out for everyone else.
That may explain why corruption is hidden and presented differently. If it were a country with low quality of life, the corruption would be much more transparent, to the point of being insulting to even pretend you aren't corrupt. Like a universal fact that people simply live with, as is the case in corrupt nations
Just different forms of corruption. In places like you mentioned, it pays more to abuse the system that relies on resources and commoddities, where as a country like the US doesn't function in that fashion if corruption completely abused the populace. The country's wealth comes from ensuring that the country function well, without that, there's not much to take from the top. It benefits those who are corrupt that the system continues to work, than for it to fall apart and fight for relatively meaningless scraps.
These two are too far gone, and naive:
The best post:
Lobbying is your biggest and most prevalent form of corruption, and it's built in to the system that makes the government what it is today.2014 Misc Resolution: Negging no pics (screen captures of text don't count as pics)

Here's one that happened last week. Executives started telling investors they were going to be first to market with a covid vaccine.
Turns out it was a total lie, pump and dump scam. They pumped the stock price so they could sell their shares at record highs and get paid at the expense of miscer types. Technically legal, but 100% corruption.

We are getting absolutely fleeced in the USA, I'm sure it's just as bad if not worse in the rest of the west. Foreign aid is a huge scam, it's not accounted for or audited at all. Look at Joe Biden giving Ukraine $1 billion and his kid got like $3.4 million for being a board doing nothing.
Obama gave a book publisher $350 million and wouldn't you know it, he got $65 million book deal from a company they own. Halliburton with Bush, what was that billions?
Look how much a politician is worth when they go into office, and look what they are worth after, or if they've been in for a while. Mind you, these people get salaries of only $175k to like $400k for president. You don't make $50 million by some good investments in a few years if you're coming in broke. These people are not stupid and it is not incompetence and the media covers for the whole lot of them, which is why you think corruption in the west is so low.
Also campaign donations. MFers on the supreme court get campaign donations, what sense does that make? It's a life long appointment. So what they do is they loan their campaign their own money then the campaign pays like 50% interest back to them so they extract the money from it as a loophole.
