We live in a society that allows individual to work hard and achieve greatness in their lives. With bodybuilding one need to have motivation, dedication and the will to push him/her self to the next level. It start somewhere but the end results are the greatest achievement one can ever dream off.
Thank you for the post...(Dedication, motivation, consistency, posing, meal planning, working out smart, and supplementation all have to be put into a puzzle and pieced together slowly. Bodybuilding is not a sprint it is a marathon.) In any sport, you hear a lot of different answers when comes to sport. With bodybuilding there are a number of ways to be successful, but my best line is " No pain no gain" in other ways you have to love the pain and push urself until your body says enough........

The two key factors to all this is Motivation and Knowledge.
Motivation = It’s been spoken about quite a bit but if you put mind to it and don't lose focus you can achieve anything.
Secondly you have to have the knowledge and this is much more important. If you goal is to gain 20 lbs and you are not eating, resting or training correctly then you cannot get there. The issue is there are so many products out there that are mis-guiding people that it has become very hard to know what is right and what is wrong.
Two things I have seen that have stopped people achieving these goals:
1) Loosing focus - Example of this is - One day you goal is to gain 20lb and then a week later it is to looses fat. You have to stop believing everything you read and stay focused on your goal. Once you reach your goal then move on to the next phase.
2) Understanding you body - No doubt everyone is different and what works for others does not necessary works for you. Example of this - If you are on a diet and you are putting on the mass don’t change because someone has recommended a product that is working for them. Test different combinations and stick to what works for you. Once you reach the peak from that method then move to another method to continue the growth.
In short Learn, test and then implement

def agree, this is what i strugle with myself falling into the traps of the bogus products and not sticking to the same goal consistently until its reached before switching to something else.
and agree with the rest part if youre not sleeping youre not growing no matter how many supps and training u do.Last edited by gynogon; 11-24-2012 at 06:06 AM.

1.living in a lifstyle to that of a monk and being very comfortable with your own company, as it can quite a lonely lifestyle at times. especially if you have a sociable nature.
2. being consistent by sticking to your training and diet, if you know there is nothing more you can do to achieve greatness than your on the right path. doing this day in day out is what makes a champion especially when the going gets tough
3. analysing your diet in minute detail. diet is probably the most important part of your progress. so by buying a scale and weighing the amounts of turkey, chicken etc you are eating it will be easier to know what works well and what doesnt. slight changes in diet could be the difference between winning and losing.
4.having the balls to push through those last reps and mindset to do a few more after you finish. what creates greatness in both the mind and body is to be aiming for 10 reps but deciding u dont follow the rules and pusihing out 12
these are just 4 steps ive picked up on in my time in the sport but the list is endless

How Can One Achieve Bodybuilding Success?
You have to want it more Then anybody Else You have to Trainer harder Then The Person beside. If Lifting was easy everyone would do it. If you want to be better then be better you can only stop yourself. Anybody can achieve Bodybuilding success its the ones who strive for there goal and dont stop until they are there then they set a new goal. If you can do 1 go for 2 then the next time go for 3 until you can do it as many times as possible. And you are the best you can be

I agree with this post, I think it's very important to be comfortable in your own skin, and developing the right "mindset" to really want to keep improving your body... if you don't have that down, you won't get very far, no matter how much you "force" yourself to do it... once you start doing it and keeping it up though, the motivation will come naturally, it just takes time
