I replaced my addiction with phenibut. Then I weaned off of phenibut, which had waaaay worse withdrawal symptoms than alcohol. I beat it with working out so it was an easy transition. The social support from gf and her family also helped. You need friends.

i haven't drank since March 20 (3+ Months) because of the pandemic. i'm a social drinker only and bars are closed so why bother?

I feel great. I'm a lot lighter, I don't have any acid reflux and the only worry on my mind is hunger.

Congrats dude. I just went 8 months, and recently cracked. Kinda pissed at myself but eh, weather was nice and just wanted to have one drink.

Over those 8 months I got in the best shape of my life, lost 40lbs, picked up some great hobbies and saved a **** ton of money. Definitely will only be drinking a couple times a year and trying my best to never get drunk or go back to the life I had.

Biggest thing I noticed was the lack of brain fog, and just better mental clarity in general. Like I feel a bit sharper. Also less bloat, puffy cheeks, and clearer skin. I don't think I will completely abstain forever, but I have no motivation to get hammered ever again.

Sober month is ezpz. Not once did I even think about alcohol...I have become obsessed with losing weight.
