2017 Orders Part 2: Robs taste buds still broken and DMAAs future in question.

It's [almost] always deadlifts.

Oddly enough I have a history of back/tailbone problems but have never hurt myself on deadlifts. Squats have gotten me, and extreme sports were the initial causes of injury, but this is the first time i'm really feeling crappy day after deads. Thinking it's just severe doms, but sitting at my desk here at work isn't very comfortable right now.

I've tried a few protein bars now, and I have to say, I think you guys are ****ing mental. Protein bars all suck :P

Higher reps at heavier weight really brings out the lower back pain. My form must get worse as I fatigue. I know exactly how you feel though, when I hit 545 for two singles last week, my lower back killed just sitting in the car on the way home. Not sure if it was from the deadlifts or something else in the workout.

The worst though is how bad CNS gets shot after deadlifts. I NEVER have a tough time falling asleep that night when deadlifts were performed.

Taking it easy at the gym for a while since shoulders, knees and ankle are in "old and busted" state. Was doing a heavy strength program then legs said nope now the shoulders are agreeing so going to just do cardio, some light shoulder stretches and lifts and abs until everything feels back to ready to hit it hard again. As for the left knee and right ankle well could be surgery for them so will see what the MRi shows on the ankle and then what doctor thinks about the knee.

Dr. noted this for ankle: Lucency in the superior medial talar dome noted estimated to measure 8 mm. The cortical surface appears to be intact, although an osteochondral defect could conceivably have this appearance. Benign bone cyst would also be a possibility. Consider MRI. Study is otherwise negative.

Knee is this but have doctor visit on July 11: FINDINGS/IMPRESSION: Postoperative changes of an ACL repair. No radiographic evidence of fracture. Degenerative changes with small osteophyte formation. Intra-articular loose bodies. Moderate size joint effusion.

As for supplements, I am also working on using up my old stash before buying anything. Finished my iForce joint help so going to try PES Genoflex for a few bottles. I have about 2 scoops left of my old Steel Edge and 1 or 2 more servings of Grape MAN Aminos. Next to finish up will be Orange OL Tr1umph. Also have 1 serving left of El1xer. I am sure several other stuff in the cabinet are aged pretty well so need to just clear them out.

Made the mistake of deadlifts in the early morning before a christmas party at the ex's families. I passed out quite early while the party was still going on.

Never had Sriracha until I started working in a prison, it's the most popular sauce with the inmates so I gave it a try. Easily go through 1-2 of the big bottles per week now, love it.

Looking to give intra workout supps a shot. What's worth a go? Never used anything with carbs intra basically always been water or some form of eaa/bcaa whatever happens to be on hand. (Something available in bb.com store only)

Probably NutraBbio Super Carb for a great stand alone carb source of highly branched cyclic dextrin (and some electrolytes) or if you want the most stuff crammed into one intra supplement it looks like Size On. There are of course too many BCAA product choices, considering, I"m sure that one wouldn't be a problem (though xtend perform at least has peak 02 and a gram of citrulline as well)

Not one for intra carbs products myself, but have had SizeOn before (good sale on it) and it is tasty; never saw a performance difference myself though.

Can confirm about deadlifts smashing the CNS. My second lower body day is a a technique deadlift day (5 sets of 3 @ 70%, then heavy front squats) and even that smokes me.
