History still needs to be made. Kapernick, Vick, RG3, Vince young, and many others. All had run first dynamic with some even having cannon arm strength. A dynamic QB will eventually break through and prove a run first QB can win but it hardly would be the blue print. A pass first QB will give best chance, but eventually a team will be good enough and a run first QB that will be so overwhelmingly good that it will happen.

He doesnt need to be as good as Brees or Mahomes in that department to be the best QB in the league though. Being the most explosive athlete ever at the QB position is so hard to defend, and opens up the offense for everything else to work better. I dont think he has to sharpen up his throwing skills too much to be a better all around QB than a pure pocket passer could ever be

LJ in the run game is the same talent as Mahomes in the passing game. Both savants. Passing obviously has a premium, so yes Mahomes has a clear edge right now. However, LJ still has more growth potential, while Mahomes era is now. Youre not taking down the Chiefs unless you have a guy like LJ.

But the team broke the all time record for most rushing yards, he accounted for 1,200 of those but also Mark Ingram doesnt have that year if he was playing alongside a pure pocket passer. Marquise Brown doesn't get open for those deep shots if the opponents don't stack the box to respect the run etc.

The threat of Lamar taking off makes every part of the offence work better. If the Ravens had at least an average WR corps which an actual number 1 guy, it could be one of the most effective offences ever.

While I wouldn't expect Lamar to be as good in that Chiefs line up, it would be a lot of fun to see. What I am more sure of, is Mahomes doesn't lead the league in TD's with a 113 rating (same as Mahomes in MVP year btw) throwing to Snead and Boykin.

Compare Lamar vs mahommes at every age at nfl and college. Lamar has usually been better, with their MVP seasons being near a draw. Yea mahommes has more playoff success but he’s also older as well.

Wilson has always been super under rated. As Manning, brady and Brees declined, he's gotten better (as he is younger) so he's currently at the top of QB rankings now, however Mahomes stormed on scene and can still improve too.

Jackson is always going to be an ankle sprain, knee or quad injury away from being irrelevant at the QB position and that's a unique QB deficiency only to him.
