After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Ah, so they did.
I honestly think transgender-ism should be treated as a mental disorder and not as a sexual orientation or gender issue, but that's just me and maybe we shouldn't open that can of worms.

I don't know much about transgender-ism, and don't really care much about it either. If people want to identify as a tree, then identify as a tree. Don't expect me to not think you're a ****ing weirdo and not ever really interact with you though.

It's essentially the result of an artificial bifurcation between sex and gender that's been going on for decades in gender studies. The idea is that sex is biological, gender is cultural and sociological.
The problem, however, is that most people view these to be one and the same, and I'd suggest that indeed they are for most people. It is completely up to the individual whether or not he wants to accept the above bifurcation. I, for one, do not. It simply turns gender into a pretend concept: people pretend to be what they'd like to be. The silly thing is that some people try to force this upon others, especially with gender pronouns. I will just state that given their bifurcation, I'm not going to use gender pronouns. I'll use sex pronouns, pronouns that refer to one's biological sex.
The transgender community becomes infuriated if people suggest their beliefs are anything but reality, to the point that now drag queens are banned from pride parades.

The idea is that because drag queens come in and out of costume, they would offend trans people by suggesting that playing dress up is indeed nothing more than playing dress up. #ironyoftheday637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.

Yeah, pretty sure I've known about this for a long time, not sure how others are just now finding out. A quick Google search pulls up his IG crossdressing account where he's been posting pics for over a year. He had face surgery over a year ago, so yeah... not sure how people are just now noticing?

some programs and kilo conversion charts use 2.2046 though, so you get confuzzled rankings when lifting is done in kilos and rankings are listed in pounds.
Kroc's transgender/genderfluid/etc stuff has been an "open secret" for...what 8 years? I think I heard about it when I was in my 2nd or 3rd year powerlifting, so 08/09?
edit: the "just noticing now" stuff is like anything on the internet you get a new crop of youngsters who go searching around on the net you get

My elite gaydar is confirmed. I mean... transgendar? I don't know the correct term...
Yeah, weird to me that people didn't know since I generally stay out of powerlifting gossip and I knew about it. Maybe I heard it at the PL gym in my area; all those guys can do is talk about the juiciest new rumors.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.

*shrug* It shouldn't surprise me I guess.
After all I just helped out at a charity powerlifting meet run by a couple of 22-23 year olds and they didn't know that they needed to provide chalk...because they had never competed...but were hosting a powerlifting meet.
Everyone needs to learn something for a first time I suppose.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*

lel I've been to a few meets like that. At one meet I was lifting and I had to spot Ray Williams on an 800 squat because they didn't have any spotters or people to run the monolift. My friend ran the mono, and I was the back spotter, and then two guys from the gym were sidespotters.

agreed
and no hate, no attacking, no personal attacks to them etc. but I think we're(or, you guys) way better off keeping that mentality than going around claiming how all of them are brave or whatever
also since I think it's a mental/social issue I'd personally treat the people with more care, rather than attacking them...some with gays, junkies etc. - but hey this propbably makes me a homophobe or a transophobe..

Yes, we absolutely should treat such people with kindness across the board. This becomes a problem, however, when they demand to be treated the same as another sex in public facilities.
It's quite relevant to the gym-going community. Transgender men have in some places insisted on using the women's locker room. One woman complained because a man in women's clothes was using the women's locker room at a Planet Fitness, and they revoked her membership:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/07/living...gender-member/
Now, part of the problem is that many, many "transgender men" still identify as being attracted to women--Matt Kroc and Bruce Jenner are two prime examples. My wife certainly won't feel comfortable changing in locker room at a gym where transgender men are allowed to walk it whenever they like and take a gander at the women there.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.

of course, it brings a lot of complications along...most of your guys problems kind of come from trying to ''treat everybody the same'' and having that weird ''accept everyone as beautiful'' crap - apart from the most basic problems, this doesn't work out well
would be best if we all realised that we're all selfish pieces of **** and that 99% of what we do is controlled by our own ego and social surrounding - then do the best from that, rather than living in quasi wonderland
