San Fran now on total lockdown
https://www.sfchronicle.com/local-po...y-15135014.php
Six Bay Area counties are expected to announce a “shelter in place” order for all residents on Monday, directing everyone to stay inside their homes and away from others as much as possible for the next three weeks as public health officials desperately try to curb the rapid spread of coronavirus across the region.
County authorities were expected to announce the move at 1 p.m. and gave a draft of the order to media outlets to prepare. The Chronicle is reporting the story after a television station published the news early.
The directive begins at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and involves San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda counties — a combined population of more than 6.7 million. It is to stay in place until at least April 7. Three other Bay Area counties — Sonoma, Solano and Napa — were not immediately included."The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed."

So Italy just had like 400 deaths today alone. Does anyone know where I can find stats on the age of the people that have died in Italy?

This delay/shortage in testing by the CDC is going to be one of the worst government blunders in history.
The government cant give guidance on when its safe for people to move around and reopen businesses unless it has the stats from the testing to monitor the curve. We STILL arent testing enough, and this is just going to prolong it for months. Everything is in a limbo because of the delayed testsMIKE TYSON: "When you see me smash somebody's skull, you'll enjoy it."

Rich or politically connected are always given special treatment. This is exactly what we see with guns all the time, they stand up and say they should be banned, no need, no carry, mag limits, etc...while their own personal armed guards carry those very guns to protect them.
Exactly the same thing

Overtesting isn't an option, there aren't enough tests. People with pretty significant symptoms are being turned down.
Hopefully the professionals who decide whether a person can be tested don't panic and just test everybody who shows up until they run out of tests iwth no more coming in for a week

Somewhat agree under the current circumstances. However best thing to do probably would be to track down all contacts of known infected and test them too, and if positive self quarantine and monitor. At least now he knows to keep his distance and stay home, even if not "sick." Never know if he runs into another healthy person who catches it and unknowingly passes it to Grandpa.

We're still short on tests. If exposed self quarantine. You'll know soon enough whether or not you have it. With very few exceptions are people that important that we can't function without them. No need to further tax the system when the end result is going to be the same.

If only we could know when we were exposed. With so few being tested, and the incubation period, plus how many can have mild symptoms, you know there are a lot of asymptomatic carriers out there with that number increasing exponentially and just getting warmed up
But at this point, it really makes no sense for an asymptomatic person be tested, with very few exceptions (POTUS being one, maybe state governors, federal cabinet/secretaries, key military and health personnel we have never heard of it...but not actors, not basketball players
