After Andrew lifted 80-lbs overhead, he attempted to set a new PR at 86-lbs.

He kept failing. But he refused to quit. He finally made the lift. But from all the excitement the camera flipped over.

He then told me afterwards, "I didn't want to quit. Not quitting is an important life lesson." Coming from a little boy.

He is very close to lifting his bodyweight overhead. He weighs 100-lbs.

How about fighting? Is he learning that as well? All my boys were taught how to fight at an early age and now all of them (in their 30's) would seriously hurt someone if the need to defend themselves ever happen.

Bro. The kid is Half-Filipino. Knowwhatimsayin'? He knows hand-to-hand combat and boxing at close range. All Filipinos are boxers, bro. He also knows how to snipe at long range. And how to triple tap at medium range. He also plays three musical instruments and how to be delicate with nature.

He doesn't know I'm grooming him how to be a true warrior.

Americans (I know we have plenty of folks from elsewhere in these forums) as a whole are a bunch of naive, ego-centric do-gooders (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not).
We have such navel-gazing self criticism of our racism, socio-economic inequities, evils of corporations (all valid to an extent) that we have very little understanding of the rest of the world.

I've lived in 6 countries outside of the US for about 20 years of my life and those experiences certainly color my response when Americans idealize things like communism, or 'native' cultures where women are still property and all kinds of horrible **** goes on.

I hate commies. They are NO good bastards. This is why many people from around the world give up everything they have in their native land to immigrate to the US.
