    Pendlay rows question

Hey guys, I wanted to get back to doing pendlay rows but I haven't gotten yet to doing 20kgs on each side yet and the weights in the gym are smaller than oly plates. I try to add a weight under the plates but still not enough.

The next idea is to use the power rack but I think it's going to create a lot of noise when I put the bar down. Is there any other suggestions?

Could you just stack multiple plates?

I'd personally opt for a different row variation and go back to pendlays (if you still want to) when you have the strength to do 20s each side

I was gonna say "how are those plates not enough" but then I remembered I have long arms.
I wonder how Dalton LaCoe does his Pendlays.

But yeah, pick a different row: bentover row, landmine row, chest supported landmine row.

Wide grip Tbar or Meadows row of upper back is the goal which I’m assuming it is if OP is trying to do Pendlays

If you're not strong enough to do pendlays at 135, if go with another variation first.

According to fierce 5 which I am doing now, it's pendlays. And I wanted to do it for the upper back instead of much lats. I am doing pull ups for that.

Pendlays are a meh exercise anyway.

Just pick a row with you can take a Pronated grip and pull to the chest and really get the scapula retracted.

    Really isn’t that complicated.
