I doubt it, but look at Nesta, he learnt pretty quickly. He didn't know much before he moved to america
@ ani, yes it would. He's the perfect replacement, and just what United need to sober up and get a hold of themselves. Obviously it's extremely unlikely if he does actually leave, it isn't gonna be united
Edit: In other news De Sciglio has just recently spoken to Sky in an exclusive interview. De Sciglio himself said that he wants to follow Maldinis footsteps, but should the club be forced to sell him in order to establish or save the clubs economy, then he will listen to offers that have come in.
When will it end, Berlusconi? When will you stop this ratchetness. It's unbearable seeing our players with a heart get shipped away against their will.
Edit2: man that interview tears me up. I love NestaLast edited by TASEVSKI; 04-22-2014 at 07:22 AM.

Steve Mclaren is the best shout IMO. Proven club manager, worked with Ferguson, plays good football. Bottled it with England but he's a club manager.

@Tasevski dont add any new knts who post once ITT and leave.
Uniteds best option is Pochettino. Young and proven in the PL, actually promising, agressive approach to games and if you get him I assume itll help poach some Soton players.

You think Lewandowski isnt a big personality?
Why is Zaha on this list? Will never make it at United.
I just don't see the real motivation for Klopp to leave right now. His reputation is still building at Dortmund and moving to United at this point would be a downgrade for at least a season imo.
Madrid seems a good club for him when they decide to sack Ancelotti. Can't be too far off.

Go back to last season and replace "Pochettino" with "Moyes" and "Soton" with "Everton". Wouldn't work IMO.
For a job like United, IMO the manager needs to have won trophies and know the club inside out. Mclaren fits the bill.Misc Number 1. Boxing Analyst and Pundit

^ oh harrock with a personal insult, have you and slip switched places now? Slippy hasn't been flaming as much lately.
have you ever heard the phrase "if you dont have anything good to say, shut up"? Suits you when you know jack about Serie A. Quite embarassing since you're 31 years old, one would assume you'd know a bit more about Serie A. Poverty knowledge is povertyMilan, Milan solo con te

Barca needs a CB who is good with his feet and can organize the back line. Thiago Silva would have fit the bill before the move. Luiz is good with his feet but his defending isn't very good and he has no positional discipline to speak of. Barca will probably buy him.
Wow i must have really destroyed you, calling you a feminist and all. Is there a bit of truth there? Why so upset?
You say "lol @ people talking like fergie is out of this world" then try to act like Conte is on his level. Sorry for calling you out on that bull****.

Look @ Brendan he was just managing a championship side not too long ago. They need a hungry/young manager who can fire people up and stick the winning mentality. Conte/Klopp/Simeone are pipe dreams right now. No top manager is going to leave their club to manage a 7th place United. Pochettino would get rid of all Uniteds geezers and get some good youngsters and build a dynasty srs, he's out to win

Don't think it's been mentioned here but I think Carlos Queiroz would be a decent next manager, was at the club for 5 years and was apparently highly influential during his time here.

where is this pochetinnos winning mentality, he hasn't won schit in England. too much of a big job for him. Another inexperienced manager.
Being young and hungry only gets you so far.
If you think that all the young players at Southampton are down to him, then you are severely mistaken"Soft with the Ladies, Hard with the Men" - Emmanuel Frimpong

completely agree with bezz, you're on spread. People ITT are just potato when it comes to coaches, everything doesn't revolve around experience or amount of trophies won, huge part is played by how good of a motivator the coach is. A team that has a winner mentality in their spine is hard to beat (Conte with Juve, Fergie with Utd for example)
