If they insist that a child has the cognizance and emotional maturity to decide their gender then that means all children can be held accountable for their actions including crimes committed by youth. I was reading an article about how this movement promotes and leverages 'conversion therapy' laws. You sell a law as preventing people taking from gay teens into the woods and helping them 'pray away the gay' which is obviously ridiculous and ripe for abuse.

Then when a doctor is presented with an un-diagnosed autistic 12yo with an eating disorder, substance abuse problems, and a history of abuse any suggestion that addressing any of these issues before granting a child's request for hormones/surgery is labeled as conversion therapy.

Doctors have bills to pay, you cant afford to be labeled as one of these tent-revival witch doctors.

yeah taking puberty-blocking hormones or amputation surgery are far more invasive and permanent decisions than merely having sex. if they are going to support 10 year olds making these decisions, there is no way to for them to be against ****philia or even child prostitution. that is a part of this worldview, no matter how much they deny it, it just logically has to go there.
