Heavier weight vs Lighter weights more reps weight loss?

What is more effective for weight loss heavier weights with as many reps or lighter weights with as many reps?

Might want to do both. 3-4 sets heavy+ 3-4 sets light with high reps.

I stay around the 5 rep range for compounds and around 8 for iso's. I have
went from 225 to ~190 and kept all my strength. This seems to work for me (most important statement).

Thanks everyone im trying to drop 8 pounds. I used to be so ripped that i'd lose weight so easily whenever i wanted too. I do cardio for an hour 4.2 speed walking on 15.0 incline or mix it up with 30 mins of running at 6.0 on 5.5 incline. I noticed i've been doing lighter weight more reps.. im 158 pounds trying to get to 150 and im 17. So i guess the best thing to do is to lift heavier with a good amount of reps? and i guess i lost my touch of knowledge on losing weight lol. Im in good shape just dont have my abs anymore with a little layer of fat on my stomach.

^^^This is what I do as well. I used to do 4-6 working sets but found as I cut I was having problems recovering so I dropped my working sets to 3 and have been increasing strength ever since.
