Boiler room this is how you can make 100,000+ and close any person in real life sales. Less then 10% make it, majority who fail are the ones with degrees, previous managers or experienced sales people. Good luck í ˝í±Ťí ĽíżĽ
Sincerely guy who’s been in that seat making over 100k and trained people tooEating "clean" doesn't mean eating "healthy"

Had a job like this in high school. I lasted about a week. We were selling alarm systems but told people they won a trip to disney land as the hook. Im not even sure it was legal.
The day before we went into the cube farm to start making calls the hiring manager/new recruit manager basically gave the exact same speech Ben Aflek does in boiler room, but instead of sliding the keys to his "ferrari 355 cabriolet" across the table he slid the keys to his 3 series BMW. It was so fu*king pathetic. When I quit I told the hiring manager there is no way I can do this job, but wanted to let him know basically no hard feelings on the way out. I shook his hand and he thanked me and told me most people that work there dont even have the balls to formally tell people they're quitting...they just stop showing up. Legit felt bad for whole place.
It was the only job I really ever quit because I felt I hated it.
To those that do this everyday...hats off to you. Id rather be dead and Im not exaggerating.

LMFAO was it ADL? I got a job with them doing almost exactly the same thing as you described because my friend got hired there and he brought me along with him on the first day. I was working in a restaurant and like 18 years old at the time so I was looking to try something new.
Basically had the exact same experience, so they must put being a massive tryhard ******* in the script for their soulless middle management staff.

Much later, must have been 2008-2009.
The telephone huckster business is probably rife with these cucks though who j/o to that Boiler Room scene or want to LARP as Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross.
Anyway, ADT is notorious for their bullchit though-- so it very well could have been that they traumatized each of us a decade apart.
EDIT: Oops sorry-- ADT! Not ADL.

Goddamn same thing happened to me. I literally got up and walked out when I figured out what it was. I heard the guy say "Anyone else too SCARED to make money, like the poosy who just walked out?!? You can leave now!"
His big flex wasn't a car (I saw him pull up in a minivan). It was that he was eating lobster for dinner that night lol.

Goddamn the fukkin balls on those guys lol. My very first job out of school was at a wealth management place. I stayed just long enough for them to pay for my series 6, 7, and 63. Total SCUMMAXXERS only in business because they occasionally tricked a naive rich guy into buying insanely high load mutual funds.

That is almost exactly how it worked at this place, too. They had 2 rooms full of guys desperately cold calling with targets that they'd never, ever hit. Only the product was actually worse because they weren't even following the bank recommended basic allocation. They were just bundling the highest commission products into a giant pile of trash and trying to slather it in lipstick lol.
The owner had some fringe connections to the NFL and a couple dumb players gave him money. That was a major selling point, which was a huge red flag to anyone with a clue.
