And I agree with what you're saying 7. The frustrating part is the billions and billions this is costing the country; the sheer panic in everyone's mind when we're ~100 times less than the average of infections and 6 times less deaths than the regular old flu that happens year after year and has happened year after year. Why hasn't the country shut down like this year after year?
I understand the need to be cautious, clean and safe but I don't think we needed to go through such panic over this.2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place

If mass testing started here in January as it did elsewhere we wouldn’t have had to shut down everything. At this point we have two options. Option A: On and off quarantine to slow the spread so that our medical facilities can handle the load without crashing and burning until we get a vaccine. Option B: Ineffective quarantine and lax restrictions until enough of the world gets it to the point that a percentage of the world has natural immunity due to getting it already or has died off.
Option A is the best we can hope for, but random quarantining isn't enough. We need regular mass testing to identify people who are asymptomatic within the 14 day window and then immediately quarantining those people will help slow the spread even more."it's likely one of us will have to spend some days alone"

Going to have to go check on my sister, just got this text.
Just be careful because people are going crazy from being in lock down! Actually I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and we all agreed that things are getting bad. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the iron straightened me out as she said everything will be fine, no situation is too pressing. The vacuum was very unsympathetic... told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over! The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion and didn’t say anything but the door knob told me to get a grip. The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to ........yes, you guessed it .....pull myself together

Bill Gates is setting up factories to manufacture 7 leading vaccine candidates before we know which is best & safest; we can test the vaccines in parallel, and then throw away all but the factory for the best vaccine. May save many months.
"Because our foundation has such deep expertise in infectious diseases, we've thought about the epidemic, we did fund some things to be more prepared, like a vaccine effort," Gates said. "Our early money can accelerate things."
Gates said he was picking the top seven vaccine candidates and building manufacturing capacity for them. "Even though we'll end up picking at most two of them, we're going to fund factories for all seven, just so that we don't waste time in serially saying, 'OK, which vaccine works?' and then building the factory," he said.
Gates said that simultaneously testing and building manufacturing capacity is essential to the quick development of a vaccine, which Gates thinks could take about 18 months.
In a Washington Post op-ed article published earlier this week, Gates said some of the top candidates required unique equipment.
"It'll be a few billion dollars we'll waste on manufacturing for the constructs that don't get picked because something else is better," Gates said in the clip. "But a few billion in this, the situation we're in, where there's trillions of dollars ... being lost economically, it is worth it.""it's likely one of us will have to spend some days alone"

Because basically everything you just typed is wrong
*The flu numbers the deniers are always spouting off are unverified/untested estimates
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden...ociated-Deaths
*The flu works year round and works hard for many months over winter, which we are way past now...covid-19 didn't start in earnest till a few weeks ago, tops. So it's pretty stupid to basically compare 2-3 weeks of one disease with a year of another anyway.
*Yesterday covid-19 is credited with killing 1,331 Americans. Just for poops and grins if you multiply that by 365 you get 485,815. And that is WITH the extreme social distancing and closures that have already reduced that number drastically!
*Some people die days before their positive test result comes back, so this 'live' updating of data isn't even complete yet
*The daily deaths are currently still only going up.
*covid-19 has a FAR higher case fatality rate than seasonal influenza
*covid-19 has a significantly higher R0 than seasonal influenzaLast edited by Farley1324; 04-05-2020 at 11:27 AM.

Maybe I am taking it wrong or heard it wrong but at the 3:36 mark the commentator made a remark about how "we" have the luxury of being able to work from home while developing nations don't? We don't all have that luxury, sure I could probably do half my work from home but the other half is hands on and there is no way my crew could run the equipment from home.

That’s Dana Ashlie. Among other things she has claimed that this crisis was caused by 5g and not a virus. Check out her website if interested.

The covid numbers that recession deniers are spouting have a high rate of false outcomes.
https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/compar...s-of-covid-19/
Regardless, multiple studies have shown that the actual infected are significantly higher are asymptomatic.

Yeah I saw one of those.
Who the **** cares if some rando ambulance driver "only", in an unspecified period of time, how of an unspecified number of total calls, transported by ambulance 3 presumed covid-19 cases to the hospital?
And who the **** cares that hospitals don't have a whole bunch of people in the waiting room?
Next you're going to convince me it was 5G that caused the virus and the earth is flat

Because the MSM is reporting they are jam packed and overflowing.
Wait, you telling me it's not? I hope you won't tell me that the Ark encounter in Kentucky isn't factual and that there really were dinosaurs and unicorns aboard the mythical boat?"You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Are you sure he didn't say that in another source because he never said it in the one you posted. What was actually said was:
If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.☻/
