not for me. i jumped on the deal HK had a bit ago that was buy 4 get 1 free deal with the 15 round mags. So i've 6 15 round mags and a CA compliant mag of like 6 rounds....

Plus, i carry a spare mag with me, so we talking 31 rounds

I could never really get behind carrying a spare. I have, I've tried, I've done it, I will again, but always as EDC? nah. The instances of a random private citizen minding their own business needing that many rounds are just so uncommon, let alone also having the time and ability to perform the reload when it's needed...seems to me a non lethal like OC and/or first aid gear are far more likely to be useful, and carrying all of that is just too much.

So is this big tech trying to appease the dems? Seems like I’ve read that historically dems have been trouble for the big tech monopoly on information. But if they go all out up front to further the left wing agenda maybe they won’t be so hard on them? Just hard to believe that they’re immediately going after all these things that existed long before trump took office.

I'm an idiot, but yes this is exactly what I believe is happening. Big tech is less left than everyone acts like. They are not against conservatives as much as they are against sanctions. As soon as it was clear who was going to be leading the legislation they made every move in their favor. That's the most logical conclusion and doesn't seem far out there at all to me

My decision is severely hindered by California since the ammo has to go through the FFL.

Also, I now regret putting the ammo in ammo cans, lol

Like, go watch any video you can find on active self protection, how many are private citizens who need to reload? How many have injuries with a lot of bleeding to control?

A folding blade could be 'useful' but it's pretty unlikely to be life or death. Coins, unlikely to be life or death useful. Flashlight, very high probability of being utilitarian useful, get a tiny one on keychain or whatever, but life or death useful? As much as I'm a flashaholic, probably not. But then these days a bright flashlight can be far smaller than a double stack magazine or a CAT

Other than keys, flashlight is easily the most used piece of equipment by anyone at work.
