Was hoping to give up Blount in exchange for the 6th rounder, but I guess the Jets don't want him.
Would you guys rather keep Blount to back up Martin, or try to find another running back?★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

That was Bowers. Haven't heard chit since he got arrested. Assuming he doesn't do time, I think the league may take it easy on him.
It's not like he tried to hop on the plane with the gun, hijack a 747, shot himself in the leg, took ********, or beat his momma with a baseball cap.
We kinda need him back to start the season.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Brian Leonard from the Bengals. My understanding that he is more a special teams guys and may see a couple of touches on 3rd down. He wouldn't be the #2 guy behind Martin though.
He's also pushing 30, not sure how much he has in him or what he can do. Wish Schiano would stop signing all these Rutgers guys.
Hoping we snag someone like Giovanni Bernard or Le'Veon Bell in the 4th or so, regardless of whether or not we keep Blount.
No info on Lorig.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

The fact that you even consider mocks reliable makes me question your entire being. I didn't see one mock last year that had us taking Barron, but we did...and we also found out that he was the guy we were going for all along. Sure, a draft like last year the number 1 and 2 picks were for sure luck and griffin..but anything beyond those first few draft picks are anyone's game.

Everyone's entitled to an opinion.
As for mocks, I never said they were reliable, they're just a frame of reference. Also the fact that the best cornerback from *the* premiere college football program is a hot commodity. He has all the tools and he's kept his nose clean. Talent is obvious, but character is very important when determining where rookies get taken. Not every coach is Marvin Lewis or believes in taking unnecessary risks.
Cornerback is one of four premiere positions in football. With all the teams still needing corners it's laughable to think Milliner slips out of the top spots.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Schiano is going to ruin our franchise
http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bucs/h...erback/2114014
There’s a reason for this: The Bucs, as an organization, aren’t all that concerned about the record-breaking Freeman and the quarterback position. In fact, people close to Freeman have confirmed that Just about everyone at One Buc Place seems onboard with Freeman except for one person: Schiano.
Whether that’s because the head coach didn’t draft Freeman or because he feels he hasn’t seen enough, everything you’ve read and heard about the Bucs looking into quarterbacks in free agency and the draft has been driven almost exclusively by Schiano.

Pretty sure they would not send the picks without a signed contract in the other hand, but I'm not sure exactly how this would work out mechanically.
Obviously once compensation is agreed to make the trade, Revis would have to pass a physical by Bucs doctors. Since he's coming off the ACL they'd have to judge whether or no he's likely to return to form based on his current condition. If the docs 'fail' him I think the deal would fall apart.
Assuming he passes, they'd have to hammer out a new contract.
The only fathomable way a trade like this could occur. It would unthinkable to hand over picks for a player sight unseen and hope he's not a hobbled bust.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Very much this. I can understand not being married to a player from another regime, but we have much bigger issues at the moment.
Schiano may not know his clock is slowly ticking, but his job is kinda already on the line, as is Dom's (definitely). Not sure how many losing seasons Schiano gets before we make another head coaching change.
I also understand wanting to have players you're familiar with, but Rutgers has a very mediocre program. Not sure I'd stake my success on that school's products simply for the sake of nostalgia.
Suffice it to say Freeman is the best quarterback our franchise has ever had. His TDs and comp % need to up while keeping his INTs down. Might be difficult for him in a vertical scheme.
Not sure exactly what Schiano would have us do. The whole pick mortgaging thing with Revis could very well prevent him from drafting his guy, and I'm not aware of any starting quarterbacks better than Freeman we can sign this year or next in free agency.
Probably better to encourage Freeman and hope he succeeds rather than bash him publicly. Schiano may not have time to install another QB before he's sent packing.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Right now there are no alternatives to Freeman. No free agents or high level QB's in the draft. He's has another season to prove that he is the QB we need. It's really all on him. The fact that a new coach comes in and doesn't want him isn't something he can really change, unless he comes in and blows Schiano away.
And still wondering how this Revis **** will playout.Rays - Bucs - Lightning - Heat

Bowers was in court today, charges got bumped down.
Looks like he'll be good to go.
