Let's say you went out with a girl a few times..maybe bought her some small items like ice cream or coffee..but next date you invite her out to dinner at a decent but not fancy place
Is it simp to just be like " I got it and pay the bill " ? Granted you have disposable income etc and aren't hurting financially
Every time I been on a date and the pay thing has come up I realized I just feel like a total cheap ass when I dont just pay the whole shot .
And im talking like dating , not a girl you've lived with for years where splitting finances would be more common.
And im not talking about a 500 dollar meal either probably more like 50

What does she look like? Any chance of getting laid??
^^^^^ Totally not serious
I am old school, I would pay for her meal
Was at breakfast with a group of fellows this morning, it was my treat, there was an elderly lady eating alone, when I paid for ours. I included hers, of course I didn't tell her, she would find out when she went to pay. Hope it made her smile.
So a hot chick I was on a date with hell ya.. lol J/K I don't mind buying someone a mealAir Force Veteran 1976 - 1999 - Cannabis Enthusiast since the 1960's

You already sound cheap for even asking. And what a name blueberryboy. You sure you are on a right forum...
Now, having said that, you know, being a man and all, good girl (the keeper type) would always insist on covering at least part of the bill. That is from my experience. I don't know why, good ones do that. Also watch if she can walk away from unfinished bottle of wine. There are some beautiful shaven pussy blonde types, who are also full-blown alcoholics. This is proven to drain your finances quicker than footing occasional restaurant bills.

Paying for a $50 meal falls pretty squarely within the realm of perfectly normal -- It doesn't seem like an extravagance that is going to draw a woman's attention beyond what she would otherwise give. Just don't go buying expensive gifts early on.
Same.It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

It's a sellers market, so yes you're going to be the one paying. Even if you prefer to split costs long term, generally the socially acceptable play is to pay for the first several dates. Once you're "going steady" then you can have a conversation about it if you want and most girls are going to be pretty reasonable about it at that point.

Let me make this SIMPle for you, proper etiquette is for you to pay for the date or cancel ahead of time if you don't want to go and pay.
Good luck. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

If you are in the early stages of dating, in my personal opinion a man should absolutely pay. Especially if you're the one who asked her out.
Maybe I'm "old school" for thinking that but if we are on a casual date my card comes out and I would handle it all.
When you are in a long term relationship, you can work it out among the two of you at that point.

The easiest way to figure it out is like this:
Don't pay for anything and see if the woman is still interested in you and willing to have romantic relations with you
If she is, then there's no problem with paying for her now and again because she is actually interested in you
If she refuses to see you without you paying for her, then you shouldn't pay for her because she is trying to use you as an ATM
