    Natrol "My Favorite Multiple" wins

Interesting... I've never used this vitamin/mineral supplement before, but it appears to be of:

    1) Extremely high quality
    2) Extremely low-cost for the quality
    3) It made 1st place out of multivitamin/mineral supplements listed on the supplementwatch website

It's "My Favorite Multiple" - it also comes in capsules, which I know some people are concerned about due to dissolving/digestion issues.

    Here's the statistics on it:

^Ferrochel™, a Patented Amnio Acid Chelate from Albion Laboratories, Clearfield, UT.
^^Patented Amino Acid Chelate from Albion Laboratories, Clearfield, UT.
Price for a 30 day supply on average seems to be $20.00 - that's 180 capsules taking 6 a day.

All minerals are from Albion labs in chelated form - nice. Ester-C is used, that's nice as well. I think this would "stack" nicely with ZMA at night for overall health and well being, and it's cheaper than some of the "ultra-mega-potency" vitamins out there without being a wimpy one-a-day knockoff.

    Comments?

    Also...

I also noticed it provides 100% of your RDA for Calcium and Magnesium. Not many vitamins do. It also comes in an iron-free version, nice for us carniverous men who don't bleed much.

    Iron-Free

They have an iron-free version, W.

That rules it back in for most men.

Also, on the Natrol website, it mentioned this on the type of iron that they use:

Is it okay to take iron?
This is a patented form of iron, called Iron Glycinte. It is 4-7 times more bioavailable and safer. If the body doesn’t need it, it stays bound to the amino acid glycine and is not absorbed by the body. It is also non-constipating.
I agree that most men would want to take the iron-free version, however.

    100 RDA

Regarding cal/mag in the natrol formula.

If you look at the forms they use

Calcium (as Calcium: Carbonate, Citrate, Ascorbate†)
    1000 mg 100%

    Magnesium (as Magnesium: Oxide, Citrate)
    400 mg 100%

Mainly, carbonate and oxide, then you ain't gonna get 100% of the RDA
If Fitness were that simple, we'd all wear Best Form Tank Tops!

I don't see why companies feel the need to include stuff like Choline, Ginseng ect, in useless amounts.

Kind of turns me off on them because you know that they are doing it "for show" and not for general health.

Dutch, Finns Find Too Much Iron Bad For The Heart

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Researchers said Monday they had found more evidence that a diet too rich in iron can cause heart disease in many people -- another reason to stay away from those juicy steaks.

you get the idea. Meat contains enough iron and strangely people who like weights often really like eating dead flesh. I know I do.

Could someone please link me to a purchasing page for this exact brand.

I searched google/froogle and found 100000 different variations... some for women, some for prenatal care etc etc.

Could you please link me to the exact pill described in the original post.

    Thanks a lot...

Supplementwatch.com is an interesting website. Here's another website that may interest you:

    http://eregimens.com/therapies/Suppl...upplements.htm

They are high on NSI multi-vitamins (A Vitacost in-house product) which I think has one of the, if not, the best quality out there and the price is top notch! Garden of Life's Living Multi is excellent too but has gotten too expensive. MegaFood is another high quality brand. In fact if you must only take a one-a-day multi, the MegaFood DailyFoods Iron Free One Daily takes the cake.
