How does one get on with life when the team that you have chosen to be fan of has sucked for more than a generation (Toronto Maple Leafs) especially when on paper they should have all the parts.
Have any of you ever just switched? Or just lost interest in that particular sport. Last couple of years, more and more my wife and I watch more Raptors games now than TML games. Please record my time/reps if I pass out

Keep up with and watch track pretty well. Was into basketball alot but I slowly drifted away from it since there was nothing of the sort on TV here after I moved back from the states. Was mostly a Spurs fan I guess (grad school in San Antonio), before that and when first got to the states (FL) was all aboard the Shaq and Orlando magic train..got the Shaq shoes...and still have a gold magic necklace, lol. Favorite player at the time was Reggie Miller though.

Nothing worse than investing all that time watching your team throughout the season, and watch them basically choke first round of the playoffs.
At least with MLB (Jays fan here ) its just plain hard to make the playoffs to begin with, Its a bit easier to deal with that. Please record my time/reps if I pass out

I was an Astros fan up until Trash Can Gate or whatever the fuk it's called. Now I cheer for any team they play. I'm a bit of an MLB orphan now. I suppose I'll just root for the Detroit Tigers with my fiancé as that's her team, but they are mediocre at best. If the Astros face off against the Yankees, I'll officially be rooting for the Yankees for the first time in my life.

What do you think of Tua's chances at QB? Loved him in college.
My MN Vikings haven't even been to a SB in my lifetime and apparently a bunch of their better players are anti-vax (I'm sure that won't snake-bite this team later this year......ugh).
I was a big Yankees fan back in the mid-to-late 90's. Mainly just due to my HATRED of the Atlanta Braves.Epic Beard Man crew

Juries still out on Tua. Honestly, I wasn't real big on him coming out of college because of his size and injury oh and because of Saban. But he's our guy this year and with a little more on the offense, and hopefully a running game, the Fins could sniff the playoffs.
I'll never forget the the first WS win against the Braves. Besides my kids being born and my marriage this ranks up there for me☻/

I've been a huge Milwaukee Bucks fan for 50+ years since I was in the Go Bucks Go club and my dad took me to all the home games their expansion year in 1969. My fandom has waxed and waned over the years, but I've watched nearly every minute of every game that past 3 or 4 years and this summer was very exciting and satisfying.
I'm in kind of a waning phase of my Packer fandom, but I'm still a fan and pull for them. There were a lot of years between Bart Starr and Brett Favre, a period known as my youth, but can't complain too much in the Favre/Rodgers era. A lot of great regular seasons followed by crushing playoff losses, but it could be worse. At least we're not the Bears.
Also an Oklahoma football fan. Every year is the same. Kill everyone and get ranked high early in the year then lose a game where they were favored by 30, then finish strong and make the playoffs or a good bowl game but don't win it all.

It's so hard to evaluate Bama QB's cuz their OL, RB's, and WR's are all perennial 1st round NFL talent. It's like racing with a bigger engine than everyone else.
Leyritz off Wohlers. I watched that at bat on Youtube earlier this month just cuz I remember how awesome that HR was.
I was also a big Brosius, Bernie Baseball, and Knoblauch (former Twin) fan.Epic Beard Man crew

I'm not really sure, but I know Altuve and a few others are still there. I didn't really follow the story too closely, I was just appalled and embarrassed to be a fan as the cheating was just so egregious. I get it, they say that all teams cheat, but do they cheat to this degree? I'd like to think they don't, but who knows.
I do like Dusty Baker, so it is difficult to root against him personally.
