    Yes.

Growing in Latin America, and around the world. For various reasons. You can - and people do - buy flights, hotels, groceries, electronics, clothing, etc using cryptocurrency (directly and indirectly).

DEFI is a growing part of the crypto industry, IMO it is going to be huge in the coming years.

Also, stablecoins exist. They are cryptocurrency pegged to fiat currency e.g. 1 DAI = $1.

I guess it makes sense in Latin America where you might have a new government next week that confiscates any wealth. A speculative asset in the first world is likely worth more than a valueless third world currency.

Any developed economies that aren't purely based on drug money and tourists? A large portion of LA economy is money laundering and other illicit activities which is what cryptos are currently good for.

Once it becomes common, if ever, it will definitely be regulated as any other currency. Im curious as to why a retailer in a developed economy would accept it at all, or what the benefit to me is over using my Amex? Why should papa John, for example, accept it instead of telling me to convert it to USD at my own cost

The advantage in using it is that you get no purchase protection whatsoever. It’s untraceable. If you hold it as a store of wealth, it’s uninsureable.

The misc tells me however that these are not flaws but features..

    There's lots of legitimate questions.

I don't debate the validity of it as a speculative investment or a possible future asset but there's simply too much unknown to take it seriously as an investment. Yes I missed out on ROI, but I'm not mad about it, I do think lots of people will lose money when it's real price eventually settles.

When your grocery guy tells you to buy gold it's time to sell. Same concept here. It's not going away but also not going to buy us all lambos.

Anytime I transfer over $10k anywhere my bank blocks my account and I have to call them to explain why I’m transferring, if I’m a victim of a scam, who’s trying to convince me to send the money bla bla. One time I sent it from my own account to my other account and I had to deal with the same ****.

I actually have 2 banks in the UK that both make me do this.

Literally feels like the money is not mine and that I’m a criminal. Some of the questions they ask are so invasive.

This is why I love Bitcoin. My keys, my money. I transfer it where I want when I want and use it how I wish.

Not yet. As long as Governments are printing money and handing it out, it will find its way to crypto. Compare the current run of BC and the stock market with large influxes of Gov handouts.

Normies are getting in on BTC now more then ever. There are a few jewelry stores in my town advertising they sell BTC, there’s atm like machines popping up everywhere.. I could have bought when BTC was under a dollar a coin. I thought it was a scam... lol

Normaltons will keep the price propped up. Unless something drastic happens or one of the major bag holders dumps everything it will probably stay around it’s current level for awhile.

taken over $200k profits and as of today have around $1.2 million still in, which should be well north of $10 million by Bitcoin and the market's peak for this cycle later this year

nothing more pathetic than nocoiner seethe. literally been comically wrong for 12 consecutive years.
