Strange how they reimage right after an election.

Why not update existing software and run your win10 updates? It's bad for machines to constantly reimage. Makes no sense why that's part of a plan to manage a fleet of machines. No conspiracy theorist but I'd like to know why it's necessary to do so.

Maybe to get the component ID off the logs proving what USB belonged to which machine? (Just thinking motive)

Why re-image it period? No idea what HD they are using but if they are doing it for security reasons why not just destroy and install a new one? I do IT for restaurants and it’s just as easy to install a new HD and flash it with a USB drive. I need to look into it more because it makes zero sense to “re-image” a HD if there is nothing wrong with it. Unless they scrub it by writing over the entire HD then re-image it. And again at that point just use a new HD and destroy the old one. Would be more cost effective considering it takes time to overwrite a HD to destroy all old data.

Hey we agree on something! Destroying the only evidence to do an audit is about as dumb as it gets. I guess since we have never had a situation like covid in such a heated/jarring election nobody has really thought it an issue. So we found out the hard way. I agree him Z4 on the vote secrecy thing. It should be secret but not anonymous. In other words audits should be able to be performed as needed. It's impossible to audit mail-in votes.
