Took the 95's for a test drive today on the flat. New improvements to back arching are taking to it well and I am very close to whatever it was I thought I was doing way back before Covid took place but with more promising form and no clicking in the shoulder.

Wondering if anyone knows precisely how much that type of flooring helps for stuff like 350 lb deadlifts. Like can you have a pretty bad foundation that would otherwise fall apart?

Definitely. Flooring only helps the surface. gotta be smart

His looks like possibly a basement. My rubber flooring was on a dining room hardwood floor. But I also didn't drop anything on the floor. Rows were bb style and deads were all rdls.

Rogue sucks from a customer service standpoint but their gear is on point.

their competitors, Elite, are also pretty terrible at customer service. but, the equipment is worth it as well. I love the Rogue and Elite stuff I have bought. mirin your set up

I guess if there aren't that many inhouse quality brands for this kind of stuff then you don't need to worry much about grabbing market if selling. Lotta junk out there... for obvious reasons.

And it's not just because of Covid and they are busy, because I've had similar issues from years go with them.

However thanks to the situation every fitness equipment supplier can tell us all to get f'd and there's not much we can do about it. It's like complaining about the service at a restaurant when there's a line out the door.

How about a positive customer service experience?

Poster in another thread here bought a $3000 guitar a couple of years ago. Cable snagged on the chair when he was putting it on the stand and it slipped out of his hand, hit the deck, snapping the headstock clean off. He was pretty much in shock since he'd spent most of his savings on it. I told him the CEO of the company posts on a forum and suggested he contact him and see what he can do. CEO gets back to him that Friday night and tells him "Don’t stress, have a beer and relax over the weekend." Arranges courier delivery from Europe to USA at no cost, builds him a new neck, and a few months later at no cost ships back what is almost a brand new guitar.

That's the difference with the guitar world compared to weight lifting I guess. Like testing in the MLB vs NFL. If American pie commits a crime, it is a travesty.

Most companies would have a) ignored him, b) told him to take a hike, or c) contact the dealer for a price on a new neck and charged him a fortune. This wasn't a massive company, probably <100 employees, but that was an incredibly kind gesture.

Flex spending $5K makes him a valuable customer and should be treated accordingly.

On a positive note it's nice to see these gentlemen back together and making music while they still can. VH fans would have been hoping for another album or tour and now that's never going to happen.

All the studies point to fat loss due to exercise as being a minimal contributor. Anecdotally, high volume weight training "recomps" me very quickly.

Well that does seem to be the non verified takeaway.

I started adequate protein almost a year ago. Carrying the same workout my general BMI was similar though more flexible between high and low calorie days. With Covid I was just doing calisthenics in my room for practice training all day and it just eats everything all up.

Though yes, with weight training at like 12-15 compound sets a week per area along with assistance work, even with a half hour of cardio every day, and I have to cut to lose weight.

edit: I think mainly they're just between a small handcrafted company and a larger scale macro service where they bend all the operations to facilitate customer service.

I think a lot of times when a company bends their operation that way you often end up seeing corners cut in quality here and there. Nice to see at least the quality stay fit.

So I've been hovering at 202-209 for like 3-4 years. I Have a new job for a few weeks by now that starts early in the morning. I eat Jack in the Box regularly and I think I get at least .5 g of protein each day. I weighed in at 193 today and feel pretty good about the weight I've lost.

Yeah but the problem is all the muscle I probably lost with it.

Actually could be creatine loss now that I think of it, but I doubt it would be that drastic. I've never been able to track a weight increase with it any way like I did the first time.
