About 10 years ago I made a pretty significant investment in my company. Didn't have the cash at the time, so borrowed it. Every dime of income (from that investment) has gone to paying off that debt. Which means, I was paying income tax on significant income that I wasn't seeing.
I just made the last payment in August. Get to finally enjoy the income.

She has wanted to, but my career kept us on the move. She just completed a 2 year certification and licence that she wanted, paid for by my deployment benefits.

My boy's first day of school was yesterday, but today was the first day he got on the bus. They had to take his temperature first and had to put on a mask. Luckily there was an aide there to do that and not the bus driver, but they were having problems with the thermometer. Luckily we had done it before we went out and was normal, and when we told them that, they were good with it. I was apprehensive about sending him to school and have to wear a mask the whole time, but didn't get the vibe they were going to be overly anal about it.

I bought some of the sa company face shields at the beginning of this whole face mask fiasco. I think it was buy 1 get 4 free or something. Anyway, one of the shields I bought was the "jokester".




Wore it to a doctor's appointment one morning. Doctor's office is on the 3rd floor so took the elevator down while leaving. When the doors opened, there was an older lady standing there and starts walking into the elevator. She looks up at me and freezes. I say, "good morning" and then "excuse me" as I get off the elevator. I get 4 or 5 steps passed her and turn around and see that she is still just standing there. I think I gave her a heart attack.

I bought one of these earlier this summer then found out the mesh part can be worn like a neck-gaiter and wearing them in most places:



One restaurant we go to has the wait staff all wearing these barely-there face shields that provide as much coverage as those old NFL kicker/punter face masks. Might look into those if all this chit goes on for much longer.

So last night I found out that my brother has one of his can't get right friends living in a tent in his backyard. The guy has a wife and 4 kids who live 4 hours away from my brother so I have no fukkn idea why he's in the backyard in a tent. My brother and his wife have a 3 bedroom house and no else lives there so I'm not sure why he isn't living in the house other than my sister in law is tired of putting up my bros destitute friends. Anyway... that got me to looking up articles on homelessness and apparently calling people homeless is not pc anymore. They gave a list of names that are preferred which I will share with you guys now
