I am a big believer in State's Rights and minimal federal control, so I disagree with Trump on this. He can help influence policy with his huge pulpit, but its up to the governors. That being said, yeah, lets get this thing on track. We are still 2 weeks away in SC from peaking, but we closed up so early that we are down to 1/10th the projected cases. Of course I live in the County with the most cases and in the zip code with the 2nd most cases.

I think that's all he's really doing (preaching from the pulpit). He's done it countless times during his tenure so far and it works. He's always been good at the talk game, rustling feathers, and getting action based on the talking without actually having to do anything. My biggest frustration is the lack of "plan" (such as my gov as mentioned) going forward on when things will open and what theyre looking at. It's just "sorry were closed." Although i'd bet my life savings if Trump were saying "no, keep it shut down" the states would be out there "WE NEED TO OPEN EFF YOU!"
But, keep in mind, until you get an actual vaccine, viable treatment option, or "cure" the numbers will most likely go right back up once you release people from their cages. It's my my opinion on all this is it's a "pause" to let manufacturing kick up on everything we "need" in case it goes nuts. So my thought would be make sure we can produce the essentials needed to handle it, get people back to work with precautions, and shelter the "at risk" people. But, if those at risk people dont want to shelter, it's their prerogative. They just need to understand.MFC

Nope. My state is starting to get fewer cases, and we were leading the way thanks to the potato NYC mayor who followed the chinese and WHO advice of "it's all good bro, go about your life."
Per capita death's is a pretty comparable stat, but we arent testing a LOT of people. Have multiple friends i know who have not been able to get testing because they arent testing non "at risk" peeps. The US is also, if anything, over reporting deaths. 95 years old, on chemo, doc gave you 2 months to live and you die and test positive for Corona? Counts as a corona death depending on the doctor.MFC

Ugh. The #1 reason any federal (and state in Cali) projects are so expensive to accomplish.
I don't have any experience with it though engj. I'm sure you've seen this link:
https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/gov...s/constructionYou don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
