My New Year resolution is to purchase a CZ 75 Tactical Sport Orange in 9mm. It looks like my only option is to get one from gunbroker. Anyone purchase a firearm from gunbroker before who can share some advice? It is appreciated.

I have a reverse stretch MP5 to obtain first though...

Buy from a seller that has an FFL and feedback.

I asked earlier this week and no one answered me on their bill drill times and distances.

I finally ordered a new shot timer so I need some times to aim for.

Bill drills are done at 7 yards, you’d know that if your only concern wasn’t how many gear logos you can fit on a CZ.

Usually around 2.2 seconds. Which isn’t fast but with a Glock 19 and normal ammo, not bad. I’m slow to get the first shot off. Low ready, not from draw either. Grouping was way better though because the sights tracked better. I’ll get a video with the timer next time I go.

Fast is under 2 seconds from a draw.

I keep seeing deals for LEO trade in Glock 22s for around $200. I've been thinking of picking up something in .40 short and weak and don't currently own any Glocks. Would this be a bad idea or terrible idea?

Not sure if srs. 7 yards is "standard" but can be done at absolutely any distance you want....

I know people who shoot bill drills as far as 25 yards and as close as 3. Lmao at only running drills at one distance.

Gunbroker is the online version of a modern day gun show. 95% of it is boomer fuds relisting their MSRP +5% for the 100th time since no one buys their stuff. Once in a blue moon you might get something for a reasonable price. I would only use it if I were trying to find something rare, otherwise I've always found cheaper prices elsewhere.

Is there any reason you can't buy from any of these websites?

I haven't seen any that low. The cheapest I've seen is $230 plus $15 shipping. Your FFL will also charge you to transfer the handgun which can range anywhere from $5-$80. If you decide to to change it to 9mm you will need a barrel and also magazines. Figure out what that total cost would be and then compare the price to a used G19 or G17 locally and see if it's worth it.

I always wondered if converting from 40 to 9 in a glock can you just drop in a 9mm barrel and call it good or do you need a "conversion" barrel. A regular 3rd party glock 9mm barrel can be had as cheap as $40

If you have 'enough' firearms in calibers/cartridges you are more interested in and that make more sense but you have zero in .40, and you also have 'enough' ammo and mags and spare parts for your other firearms, it can make sense to broaden your horizons and expand your potential usable ammo pool by picking up an inexpensive pistol in .40 to shoot just a little and then have hang around. There have been really good deals on FNS 40 and M&P 2.0 .40 pistols brand new as well

I cleaned out the local Wal Mart of 9mm while it was $9 for 100 winchester white box and I already had about 500 rounds of 9mm Finochi(spelling) laying around. I have the completed upper for an AR9 that is just waiting for me to assemble the lower (just got the parts last week) so that will make 2 9mm guns. I've also got a .45 1911. I do admit that I need to get a compact gun and am still kicking myself for not getting the Remington r51 when it was on sale for $150 (I know, I know Rustington). I'm leaning toward getting a S&W Shield for a compact that would be 9mm as well. I've always like shotguns and rifles but I'm recently getting into pistols more.

I do need more 5.56 mags though. I only have 7

I think it's safe to say the R51 was the worst production handgun of the decade. You would've dun goofed if you bought one of those. Best bang for your buck was/is the shield by a huge margin. I think you missed the rebate though

Need an actual conversion barrel, I think because of barrel diameter. I did see a vid with someone using the .40 mags to shoot 9mm and he didn't have any feed issues. But even though you CAN, I wouldn't, especially when for a couple hundred more I can have 2 guns instead of one.

I heard that the early runs of the gun were horrific but they got corrected and the ones that work are some of the most accurate compact guns you can get. I would've rolled the dice for $150. I have a feeling the Shield rebates will come back around or there will be a deal close to that good before long. I don't think handguns are in the same political danger as ARs right now and that is why I was focusing on them
