I’m going to start taking minoxidil foam aswell as Fin. Do you guys know how effective this is at regrowth on the temples? I read it only works for regrowth on the crown and is useless for the temple but the source wasn’t exactly reliable.
Twice a day for four hours is what they recommend.
Regain for men looks like the best brand? Unless you guys have any other tips.

anecdotal but, have been on fin 1.25mg for 3 years. no side effects, gains haven't suffered, libido never changed whatsoever, no ball pain.
hair was nw0-1 and now is just stopped at 1.5 and maybe a bit less. definitely a lot thicker. literally no sides and its been three years.
everyone is different. keep thriving for success if hair means something to you

i mean try it but if one thing i've read is that topicals can be pretty iffy. heard stories of guys losing clumps out of their hairline (does grow back) but the real thing to ask yourself is - if this topicals had high success rates on the average male with receeding hair, why wouldn't it retail for some insane price? why wouldn't every person going through recession in the hairline use it?
not saying dont use it.
just things to think about. start with fin and realize it takes months to a year for your body to adjust. dont overthink and overcomplicate the situation and jump in head first.

I’ve been on fin for only 3 days now. I know it can take around 6 months for it show improvement but when does it start to halt further hairloss?
As far as I’m aware the first pill you take halts DHT which should stop recessing from the moment you take the first pill. Don’t want it to further recede in the next few months.

Be aware that you will most likely have a shed during the next few months which could last a while and make your hair look worse than it did before you started. After this shed was when I started noticing an improvement (around 3 months in). Seems to be completely different for everyone though.
How dare you!

Just got on a prescription for Finasteride recently the physician recommended I use topical minoxidil as well. Will probably pick that up this week. In for information.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Minox is pretty much useless except that it worsens your skin. Stick to 1 mg of fin. Take it around the same time every day.
Set an alarm on your phone or computer so that you never accidentally forget to take it.
Taking biotin and b12 vitamin is a good idea as well. No personal experience with this yet but read a lot of good things about thickening hair. Which is perfect for the new baby hairs you'll be growing soon.]
Might be different per person but i didn't really notice any real difference the first month. No regrowth but no real shedding either.
First time i read stories, i thought the shedding phase would legit make me semi bald. Wish i didn't let it scare me.Cobra Kai never dies!

Been on fin for about 3-4 months now. 23, NW 1.5, only hopped on cause a friend mentioned a slightly receding hairline and some miscers agreed (even though other friends said I had nothing to worry about). MPHL on both sides of the family, practically all the men I'm genetically related to have it.
So far, at 1mg a day, no side effects that I can tell. May be placebo but my hair does feel thicker on top, hairline hasn't gotten worse. Will continue to monitor.Dental Student crew

I too wish I hopped on earlier. I was terrified of the sides. Now I know I made the right decision.
I have b12 and biotin. What dosage do you brahs take for these two daily? I don’t want to be under dosing. Taking vitamin C and D3 with fish oil too. I also take aspirin as OP recommended but unsure on the reason why aspirin was recommended tbh.

Was talking about hair loss with a guy that I work with. He said his brother and wife tried forever to have a baby. Quit taking fin she got pregnant a few months later.
Good luck with your baby goals of 2020 *******s.

BUMP;
For every idiot who thinks fina is safe.
The thread starter (RedStar) who believed the official studies were legit and only 1% could get side effects from fina...wel 5 years later he's on propeciahelp forums:

Let it be a warning to the hopeless balding fools who see fina as their ulitmate salvation.

almost 6 months of Fin now, halved my dosage to 0.5 mg a day cause it has near identical pharmacological activity at that dose and saves me money (in fact, just 0.2 mg of fin has been shown to have near maximal activity). Again, no side effects. No problems with sex, libido, etc. in the slightest. Hair I'm 99% sure is getting thicker. Went to my barber after not seeing her for months, she immediately commented that my hair looked a lot more brown than it used to. I hadn't even noticed, but I think it's regrowth from the fin. Hairline hasn't receded any more. Great experience so far.
