Haha, no I eat waffles as often as possible. Sadly not very often right now
I'm probably down 10 pounds or so in the last 6-8 weeks though anyway. I just have to get my work situation settled down. Wanted to get my U/L split running again this week. But I'll be short 2 workouts. Next week should be better.
I have a lot of shopping and cooking to do tomorrow. Time to stock up on salad stuff for lunches and grill a bunch of meats.

mid 80's all weekend.
worked outside at least 6 hrs each day.
Had to go buy gatoraid at the corner store.
I'm sure they loved me walking in there soaked through with sweat.
every time I stopped sweating i'd drink a glass of water then it just poured out of me until it stopped.
repeat.
needed them electrolytes.

I'm now dangerously close to tightening my belt another notch. #excite
I'd complain about fat already gone from arms and legs but I've been doing this too long to even let that bother me anymore. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

Here I am back again, still taking another stab at sobriety! LOL Man I have some tough issues with alcohol.
Anyway day 1 starts today.
I went to the gym to start my membership up a few days ago but the staff wasn't able to help me, so I'll be fixing that and getting back into the gym this friday. After 2 years out of the gym, It's time. I probably have a hundred threads in here stating this same thing but it's really happening. on the plus side, I'm still in decent shape, use my pullup bar and stretch daily and my composition while not perfect, is certainly athletic enough still to be agile.
how's everyone doing?www.grazethesky.com

That's it, I mean the main thing is do we go back not when. Plus you know all you have to do is walk in the door and a barbell is going to still fit in your hands and you'll get some trianing done.
That's my situation tomorrow. Last 2 days nothing but work, swing one day, early shift the next, 4 different deadlines met. But tomorrow no matter what something is going down with the weights. It might not be ideal but it's happening. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

I only had 2 beers last night.
It fit my macro's also.
So mostly chicken and broc**** and beer. LOL!
I've got 10 gallons Oktoberfest style in the fermentor finishing up this week.
it's yummy.
Planing to brew 10 gallons of winter wheat next.
my kegs are almost empty.
Been cutting and stacking wood so body feels like I've been in the gym.
However mid October i'm going on an overnight hike.
I think my buddy said 8 miles.
I need to start punishing my legs now so I don't die on the trail.
Hopefully drop a few pounds also.

my psychology is very strange to me. i'm either all in or not, but then sometimes im in and sometimes not. especially when it comes to the gym.
same battle with any kind drug that alters my chemistry.
regardless...

That's a lot in a yr.
A few yrs back we picked up a mountain of black walnut.
Took two years for my dad and I to burn through the bulk of it.
After last yr and this yr the wrist wood and 3" and smaller stuff will be gone.
It was an add on craigslist.
Someone bought an old farm and wanted the trees gone so paid someone to cut them down and all we had to do was go get it.
Hell they even cut it up into 2-3ft sections.
We had to take all the branches though but so what?
That was 3 out of probably 20 loads.
If I can find the picks of the pile i'll post them.

Hey, everyone. Happy to see you all. Iβm reading your updates and trying to keep up. Averaging one to two workouts per week right now.
Check out the Da*ly Stoic Journ*l (no advertising) if you can find it. I got it for $11 at Barnes after price matching. Itβs dated but there are no days or years attached to the dates so it can be used through next year or whenever you want, really. Iβm taking the dayβs prompt and recording my reflections in a separate planner. My entries are pretty brief, just single sentences or lists of bulleted items in some cases.
Sample prompts for morning and evening reflection:
Sept 25 - What am I a slave to?
Sept 26 - What idle leisure can I replace with something more fulfilling?
...flipping thru
Sept 20 - How am I ready for unexpected attacks?
Sept 21 - How can I keep lifeβs rhythm no matter the interruption?
Aug 28 - What luxuries can I practice not needing?
Aug 25 - What new path can I blaze today?
Aug 24 - What can I learn from others - even the people I donβt like?
Aug 17 - Can I go a whole day without blaming others?
Aug 18 - where can I play to my strengths?
Aug 13 - What troubles can I solve in advance?
Aug 14 - How will philosophy help steer my course today?
Thereβs a companion book but it didnβt really resonate with me.Last edited by caprica6; 09-28-2018 at 10:11 AM.

So I went to a whiskey tasting event tonight.
Ran into a few guys who were ripped and older.
They turned out to be my age and hammered.
Their trainer was in amazing shape also and fuk'n 60.
he showed us his license so i'm fairly certain he is legit.
dude looked late 40's tops.
the one guy was my height and my age and showed me picks of himself from last yr which coincidentally is the same weight i'm at now.
they started to tell me about nutrition ect. except I knew it already and they were like Dude, really?
WTF?
You can do it.
You did it before.
Just do it again and keep doing it.
more motivated than ever.

Hey, Nitro! Yeah, Iβve spotted several seniors down here who give me hope for the future.
Unrelated - I saw a South American woman with comical, surgically enhanced proportions a few weeks ago. If I trusted my memory Iβd sketch her for you... Maybe Iβll see her again. One reason to be fearful of the future, I guess.start where you are

er. Neither! You mentioned an inspiring 60 y.o. I mentioned inspiring seniors down here. Iβm in FL so my inspirations are more like 70 and 80+.
...
I did one hour of full body, and 20 minutes of cardio yesterday, and I trained myself to eat only one mochi at snack times. I usually grab two.
Iβve also been implementing my old βupstairs by 9:30-ish p.m.β rule. Once the kitchen is out of sight itβs out of mind.start where you are

Spent a few hr loading old foundation rocks anywhere from 1lb to 50lbs into a wheelbarrow and walking them 30ft to a raised planting bed and tossing them in.
The rocks cut down on the amount of top soil you need but maaaaannnn.
I was sucking wind hard and my lower back....
this morning whole body hurts and stairs are torture.
feels good kind of.
