The curved one is from a(Polish I think) brand David. The other is Barbarian Line, now it lives under the brand ATX.
The curved bench is nice for incline flys, really opens up your chest more.
Bounces more than hard stall mats, I know. Werk San platforms (youtube 2016 junior worlds training hall) bounce a lot as well. Especially with only 1 plate per side or from overhead (I'm 6ft2).

My guess is that they will do stainless shaft + chromed sleeves (like the Eleiko comp barbell)

Yep. The impact (especially with competition style bumpers) is not to be underestimated. It's really hard to tell from youtube videos how loud or hard the impact is, so I wouldnt compare solutions...
