I figured I'd ask here since I haven't had any luck elsewhere:
I'm looking for a powerspeed bar (preferably in stainless steel), and they've unfortunately been discontinued. I reached out to REP...
I feel like this is likely the biggest potential flaw; I personally prefer a thicker bar to press with, and many people I know do as well. However, there are some outliers who prefer a thinner bar...
A deadlift bar would likely be better for barbell rows; thinner and easier to grab, and with no center knurl to scrape you up. I was pointing out that a deadlift+squat bar makes more sense than does...
Not OP, but I used a Sharpie Paint Pen to get a similar result on my Power Rack
I think you misunderstood my argument; lots of powerlifters have at least one specialty barbell that has a similar form factor to a power bar (straight barbell with spinning sleeves; differs only in...
I was recently looking over my barbell rack, and I came to a realization; if you have at least one specialty (straight) bar, do you really need a power bar?
Think about it; a cheap deadlift bar...
I hadn't realized who I was speaking to; I just called the fabricator. They're getting redone.
That's how I feel about it now, but if someone can offer me any evidence in it's support, I'd rather save the 100-150 a d keep the uprights as is
I'm having a friend make me a squat rack, and I've run into some trouble. He's using 3"*3", 11 guage tube steel for the uprights, and he made a mistake. I'd like some opinions if it's salvageable or...
I knew NYT was trash for their politics, now I know they don't lift either.
I can't understand how anyone would make a review of adjustable dumbbells, take four years to do it, mention frequently...
How is it an advertisement if the OP is complaining about Tydax pulling a bait and switch with the rotation system?
I recall seeing somewhere on Bill Henniger's instagram page that they had made in the US calibrated powerlifting plates planned for 2021, does anyone remember any other details he released?
I'd wait a few months; I know of a small fabricator who's currently producing a revolutionary design. Not Mech6, and not a copy of anything on the market. Will be lighter, and have good clearance.
Elevate the rear of your bench on something; I use my pin pipe safeties on the rack to get the bench higher and flat. Works great with the cambered Multi Grip bar for rows.
Yeah, I'd love a pair too. I cant wait until ATX starts importing to the US. Or until Titan copies that design.
Prices skyrocketed though; a base flatfoot x-3 now costs around 650, and no longer includes any safeties.
For perspective, when I bought mine in June '19, a base flatfoot cost 475 (on a sale;...
Fair enough. If you're not making the monolifts anymore, which of the current commercial offerings do you think are the best?
I say this only partially joking, but if you ever make the list I'd be honored to be number 21
Is this a joke?
It's a fancy stick and some resistance bands with logos on them. They can try and dress them up, and call weightlifters dumb meatheads all they want, but that's all they are.
If...
What you say is correct, but why would you bother resurrecting a thread from 13 years ago to say it?
